knowledge of financial concepts and confidence in managing finances. However, there are

gaps in its practical application, particularly when it comes to budgeting.

2. Grade 12 students show both responsible spending habits through saving and price

comparison and impulsive spending behaviors when buying for friends and making

unexpected purchases. The practice of mindful spending through expense tracking occurs not

often among students.

3. Financial literacy shows a significant relationship with spending habits among Grade 12

students. Students who demonstrate higher financial literacy levels tend to spend their money

more responsibly which shows that financial knowledge strongly affects actual financial

actions.

Recommendations

Based from the conclusions, the following are hereby recommended:

1. The results indicate the need for continued efforts of higher educational institutions in this

respect more practical and activity-oriented approaches must be integrated within content

coverage for Grade 12 students so that not only is theoretical knowledge strengthened but

also skills such as budgeting, decision-making, etc. are worked on. Also, offer about

budgeting and financial management workshops or interactive seminars along with

additional resources and training forms, such as not spending with an impulse and tracking

aspects like more effective budgeting tools, as well as tactics for resisting impulse

purchases.

2. Students should learn practical money management through direct instruction of basic

budgeting techniques and examples of financial planning for goal achievement. Students

need to learn about various savings methods and proper spending techniques that they can

use in their daily lives.

3. Schools can help students enhance their financial management skills by teaching them

strategies to avoid spending and emphasizing the significance of saving money over impulse

satisfaction.

4. Future research should try to study why students know about money but still struggle with

things like budgeting and impulse buying. It would also be useful to know which money

lessons actually lead to better spending habits and whether or not feeling good about

handling money really means students make smart choices.
