DESIGN ASSUMPTIONS
The data provided by the customer has been taken into account by CTTI Cooling, S.L. for the tower
selection. CTTI truly believe that the optimal tower selection depends critically on the following main
parameters, imposed either by the process, the customer or CTTI selection criteria:

VALUE
PARAMETER DEFINED BY

HWT 38ºC Customer

CWT 32ºC Customer
WBT 29ºC Customer
FLOW 600 m3/h Customer
WATER QUALITY Sea Water Customer
AREA 72 m2 Customer
MAIN
FRP Customer
STRUCTURE
CONFIGURATION 2 cells in line Customer

The selection also takes into account a fair balance between final costs and operation costs.
Depending on different customer preferences the tower could be redesigned for an optimization.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The cooling tower mission is to dissipate the heat produced in the process. The range (difference
between HWT and CWT) is function of:

• Energy that brings the water  Depends on the process

• Water flow  Depends on the pump system

Consequently the range does not depend on the cooling tower.

A high efficient cooling tower will make CWT to be close the wet bulb temperature (WBT)

A low efficient cooling tower will make CWT to be far the wet bulb temperature (WBT)

In any case HWT = CWT + Ran
