production.
He is also the creative partner of the director.
Roles of a stage manager
1. Record Blocking: Document all actor movements and staging decisions in the
prompt book.
2. Schedule Management: Distribute rehearsal reports, schedules, and daily notes to
the team.
3. Calling the Show: Execute all lighting, sound, and scene change cues during live
performances.
4. Backstage Management: Supervise deck crew and oversee backstage activities to
ensure safety and smooth, quick changes.
