MAJOR CLIMATES + PRECIPITATION + VEGETATION

1. Equatorial Climate

Precipitation: Heavy rainfall throughout the year (>200 cm)

Vegetation: Tropical Evergreen Forests

2. Tropical Monsoon Climate

Precipitation: Seasonal rainfall (heavy in summer)

Vegetation: Tropical Deciduous Forests

3. Tropical Desert Climate

Precipitation: Very low (<25 cm)

Vegetation: Desert vegetation (xerophytes)

4. Mediterranean Climate

Precipitation: Winter rainfall, dry summer

Vegetation: Sclerophyll vegetation

5. Temperate Oceanic Climate
