The process describes how olives can be processed into olive oil and sold on the

market.
Overall, there are 7 main stages, beginning with olive farms and finishing at stores
and storage facilities.
Firstly, the olives suitable for oil production are harvested from olive farms. After
that, they are moved to a rinsing satge, where the olives are removed from dirt and
impurities by cold water. After being cleaner, they are transported on a conveyor
belt to the next step called “ Smashing”. At this stage, the olives are crushed into
olive paste as well as olive stones. While the olive paste continues to go through
the next steps, the olive stones are separated as a subproduct for other uses.
In the following stage, the paste is placed in bags with holes, which are then
transferred to a pressing machine. This pressing process extracts both oil and
water. Next, these liquids are moved to the separating stage, where the oil is
retained and the water is eliminated. Finally, the process finishes when oil is stored
in containers and either distributed to shops or storage facilities.
