Introduction

Solid shapes are 3D figures having length, breadth and height.

Examples: box, football, cylinder, cone.
They occupy space that is the volume.
These concepts are useful in storage, construction, packaging, and
measurement.

Cuboid and Cube
A Cuboid has length, breadth, and height.

A Cube is a solid with all equal edges.

Surface Area of Cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)

Volume of Cuboid = lbh
Surface Area of Cube = 6a2
Volume of Cube = a3

Cylinder

A cylinder has two circular bases and one curved surface.

Curved Surface Area = 2πrh

Total Surface Area = 2πr(r + h)

Volume = πr2 h
