Unit 4 – The Environment

Project Work and Speaking Assessment

This project must be sent to me through Classroom (Project


Work on the Environment) until May 6th
Your project work will consist of two parts:

1. A poster to raise awareness towards an environmental issue of your choice. The poster must include:

● An image or images related to the environmental issue;


● A slogan (use an imperative – e.g.: Don’t waste water!);
● 4 sentences about what we can do to solve or minimize the problem (Use modals and/ or 1st Conditional
sentences) – e.g.: We must turn off the water while brushing our teeth. / If we take short showers instead of
baths, we will save water.
● You can create a digital poster using Adobe Spark Poster:
[Link] or you can do your poster in a more traditional way,
using a cardboard.

2. A spoken presentation of your poster recorded on video, where you:


● Identify the environmental issue you chose to address (you can also talk about what causes it, what are its
consequences);
● Describe the picture in your poster;
● Explain what we can do to solve or minimize the problem...

● Your presentation should be around 2-3 minutes.

● Both products will be evaluated for conhecimento, criatividade, pensamento crítico/ analítico, comunicação
e intervenção, participação/ colaboração, responsabilidade/ autonomia.
