Importance of Summer Holiday

Summer holidays are an important break from school that give


students time to relax and refresh their minds after a long academic
year. During this time, students can spend quality time with their
family and friends, which strengthens their relationships. It is also a
great opportunity to learn new skills and develop hobbies such as
reading, drawing, or playing sports. Summer holidays help reduce
stress and mental pressure, allowing students to return to school with
fresh energy and a positive attitude. In addition, students can revise
their previous studies in a relaxed way and improve their creativity
through different activities. Overall, summer holidays are useful for
both enjoyment and learning, and they help in the overall
development of students.

General Instructions
1. The assignment must be completed in the Fair Copy only.

2. Maintain neat handwriting and proper format throughout.


Relevant drawings, diagrams, or pictures should be included
wherever necessary.

3. The completed assignment must be submitted after the


summer vacation. (third day of school opening)

4. Students are encouraged to complete the work sincerely and


present it creatively.

Visit a farm nearby, gather information about crop production and make a flow chart of
the process of crop production take some photos and paste it on file and write about your
experience in the form of newspaper article.

 Make a booklet of famous personalities give some detail for each & paste pictures
Weekly Routine

 Collect at-least 03 newspaper articles. Identify tense and highlight different parts of speech.
Letter Writing

 Write a letter to your younger brother advising him to read newspapers. Tell him why

 You won the first prize in an inter school debate on ‘Environment Pollution.’ Write a diary

 You are Ravi/Rita, the Cultural Secretary of ABC High School, Mysore. You have been
asked to inform students of class 6th to 8th about an Inter School Dramatic Competition. Draft
a notice for the students’ notice board with all necessary details.

 Design an English magazine which should have the following:

1. वृक्ष, तितली या पानी की आत्मकथा लिखिए।
2. अपनी पसंद की एक व्यंजन की विधि लिखे तथा बनाते हुए स्वयं का
फोटो चिपकाए।
3. स्वच्छता अभियान या पानी बचाओ विषय पर एक आकर्षक पोस्टर बनाइए।
SUBJECT-MATHS
Instructions: All the activities has to be done on A4 sheets mention your name class and subject on the cover
page staple all the sheets and submit to your teacher on the reopening day your creativity and presentation will be
appreciated.

Assignment 1: Write a divisibility rules for 2, 3, 4,5, 6, 8 ,10, 9 and 11 with an examples in each case.
Assignment 2: Write and learn squares from 1 to 30 and cubes from 1 to 20.
Assignment 3: Write about Hardy Ramanujan number
Assignment 4: Write a brief note on vedic maths. Who introduced vedic maths in India. Name his book on vedic
maths. Explain three method with example of finding squares: Eknyunen Purven. Ekadhiken Purven,
Yuvadunam, Viloknam, Dvandvyog.
Assignment 5: Draw a chart to explain properties of a rational numbers on addition, subtraction, multiplication
and division.
