Assignment Topic: Exploring My surroundings and My Role as a Citizen
All students are instructed to complete the following activities in their Fair Copy. The work should
be done in a neat, systematic, and well-presented manner.
Assignment Details:
1. My Neighborhood Mapping Project
Draw a map of your locality.
Clearly mark roads, parks, shops, water sources, and waste bins.
Use appropriate symbols and prepare a legend.
2. Water Diary (7 Days)
Record the daily water usage of your household for seven days.
Suggest suitable measures for conserving water.
3. Community Helpers Interview
Conduct interviews with any two community helpers (e.g., vegetable seller, teacher,
cleaner).
Record information about their work and the challenges they face.
4. “Mini Museum” at Home
Collect any five old objects (such as coins, utensils, photographs, etc.) paste its photos.
Write a brief description of each object, including its history or significance.

Note the temperature for 5 days (morning & afternoon).Find:

Activity 2: Create a colorful and creative chart to explain the rules of divisibility for numbers 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10.
Your chart should include:
Each number with its divisibility rule in simple words.
Use of colors, drawings, symbols, or real-life objects to make it attractive
A creative title for your chart.
OR
Activity 2 : Prepare a creative chart to explain different types of fractions using real-life examples.
Your chart should include:
Types of fractions: Proper, Improper, Mixed, and Like & Unlike fractions
Definition of each type in simple words
At least one real-life example (like pizza slices, chocolates, fruits, etc.) for each type
Neat, colorful presentation with drawings or pictures

Write 10 rules for your family using must, should, or should not.

Write the names of:

- Prime Minister of India
- Any 5 Central Ministers
Write one sentence about each.
Explain in 2–3 lines why these are called Proper Nouns.

World Environment Day is celebrated on 05 June every year.
The theme for World Environment Day 2026 is Beat Plastic Pollution, focusing on addressing
the global issue of plastic pollution.
TASK (Let’s find out)
Single-use plastic products (SUPs) are used once, or for a short period of time, before being
thrown away.
Look around in your house carefully. Collect & paste pictures of some Single-use plastic
products (SUPs). Also write any five ways to reduce plastic.
(Note: Paste at least 5 pictures in the note book.)
# Plan a nature walk to your nearby garden or eco parks and write your observations.
Group plants based on height, nature of stem
categorize them into herb, shrub and tree.
# PROJECT WORK
‘‘PREPARE A HERBARIUM’’ Collect the leaves of any ten plants, dry them in
the folds of a newspaper, paste them in a sheet and also write names of the
plants, they belong to.
# Make a colourful poster on “Diversity in Nature”
Include drawings of plants, animals, and surroundings.
