This page lists all the documentation changes and updates that accompany the new release of
the full build of the product in July 2011. You can download the latest versions of the

SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Administrator's Guide
The following changes have been made:
A new section on error codes and their meanings is added.
The “Backup and Restore” section contains an additional reference to the SAP
BusinessObjects Database Administrator’s Guide for information about detailed
backup and restore procedures.
The “SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Remote Configuration
Tool” topic contains additional information about settings that cannot be distributed to
remote machines, and a distinction between using the tool to distribute client
configuration settings rather than server configuration settings is made.
SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Database
Administrator's Guide
The following changes have been made:
The“ Dimension Data Load” section has been updated to clarify what takes place
when the INREPLACE parameter is used.
Additional text has been added to step 5 of the “Dimension Data Load” procedure to
convey that attribute mappings are removed regardless of the loadstatus value.
Three additional results tables are documented that are designed to work in
conjunction with universe files for the purpose of reporting query and analysis. The
additional tables are as follows:
o PPR_#DIMENSION_NAME#_BRIDGE
o PPR_#DIMENSION_NAME_NODEITEMS
o PPR_NODE_LEVEL
SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Installation
Guide
The following changes have been made:
The section on how to uninstall the product is updated to describe the uninstall
process for Microsoft Windows Server 2008.
The topics “Microsoft SQL Command”, “Microsoft SQL Native
Client” and “Installing the SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management
Software”, are updated to inform users that Microsoft SQL Native Client is an
installation prerequisite for Microsoft SQL Command.
The topic “Configuring the Application Server” is amended in step 8 to clarify the
options for configuring disk space levels.
SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Integration
Guide
The following changes have been made:
The sample universe tables for Bill of Materials models are added to the “Sample
SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Universe Files” section.
A correction has been made to the “Running the Import Wizard” section which
contained an error in the filepath for the location of the Business Intelligence Archive
Resource (BIAR) file.
SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Modeling
Reference Guide
The following changes have been made:
In the “Grid Object General” section, the code example provided for
the GetCellValue procedure has been corrected.
In the “Keys General” topic, the table for the SetKeyItemName method is updated
with a note that refers the user to the “Books in Bill of Materials Modeling” topic in
the SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Modeling User Guide.
In addition, in the “Dimension Tree General” and “Dimension List General” topics,
the SelectedName table is updated with a note that refers the user to the “Books in
Bill of Materials Modeling” topic.
The RaiseAlert and RaiseCapacityAlert structure functions contain additional
information about how the functions are used in rules.
The“ Edit Box Object” and “Memo Object” topics have a note that explains that when
the Text property for these objects is set at design time it cannot be altered at run
time in a way that saves the change to the database, although it can be edited.
Grid values are ordered alphabetically within the groups in which they are displayed
in the Grid Values panel in View Builder. These groups are also presented
alphabetically.
The description for CodeByLeafPosition is amended.
SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Modeling
User Guide
The following changes have been made:
A known issue relating to importing Transactional Costing models has been
documented as well as a workaround for the problem. Refer to the “Known Issue
When Importing Transactional Costing Models” topic.
The “Books in Bill of Materials Modeling” topic is updated with information of how
to refer to BOM Makeup items in book script. In addition, the following topics have a
note added and a cross reference to the “Books in Bill of Materials Modeling” topic:
o “The Books Dimension List Object”
o “The Books Dimension Tree Object”
o “The Books Keys Objects”
An additional section titled “Custom alerts” explains how you can create your own
alert messages in the Model Alerts tab for specific user groups, using
the RaiseAlert function.
The description of the MsgBox function in the “Scheduling Multiple Slices” section is
revised.
The sections on the Edit Box and Memo book objects are updated with an
explanation that if the Text property for these objects is set at design time, it cannot
be altered at run time in a way that saves the change to the database.
The description of how timelines work and the role of CodeByLeafPosition is
clarified.
The improvements to the visual feedback that displays when grid data is being
updated are documented.
The “Capacity Planning” section contains additional text to explain that the Capacity
rule does not cycle through any combinations by default, and that the iterations
through grid values need to be coded into the rule. A coded example is included.
