Objective
To understand network simulation tools.
To install Cisco Packet Tracer software.
To create a simple network topology.
To configure IP addresses on devices.
To test connectivity between devices.
Requirement
Hardware Requirements
Computer system with minimum 4GB RAM
Internet connection
Software Requirements
Cisco Packet Tracer
Cisco Networking Academy Account
Cisco Packet Tracer is a network simulation software developed by Cisco Systems. It allows
users to design, configure, and troubleshoot network topologies in a virtual environment
without using physical networking equipment.
It helps in learning:
Network design and configuration
Router and switch configuration
IP addressing
Network troubleshooting
Packet flow simulation

Conclusion
In this experiment, Cisco Packet Tracer was installed and configured successfully. A simple
network topology was designed using PCs and a switch, and IP addresses were assigned to
establish communication between devices. The experiment provided practical knowledge of
network simulation, device configuration, and connectivity testing, which is essential for
understanding real-world network implementation.
