 Assessment using Gordon’s Patterns:

 Sleep–Rest: Reports difficulty sleeping due to pain.
 Coping–Stress Tolerance: Expresses anxiety about recovery and being dependent.

 Nursing Diagnoses:

3. 3. Anxiety related to health status and recovery process.
 Interventions:

 • Assist with ambulation and encourage physical therapy.


 • Administer pain medication as prescribed before bedtime.
