Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer


Role: Engineer-Instrumentation Business Function: Engineering- E&I
Reports to: Team Lead Business Division: Ballestra India
Role Category: Job Location: Bangalore
Role Purpose: Basic & Detailed Engineering
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Preparation & self-Review of Instrumentation Basic & detail engineering
deliverables to client/customer
• Tender/Procurement Support.
• Preparation of List of deliverables.
• Responsible for Sizing Calculation, Selection of Equipment / Instrumentation
layout for Instrumentation engineering.
• Responsible for Specification (Pressure, Flow, Level, and Temperature), data
sheet, Houck up drawings, JB grouping & MTO for Field Instruments, Cable &
Panels, cable tray etc..

Other Significant Role Requirements:


• Experience Basic & Detailed Engineering in Process plant viz chemical/Oil &
Gas/Pharma plants or similar
• Hands on experience on drafting software like Auto CAD is must.
• Knowledge of various safety standards/certifications in E&I field
• Continuous improvement & Productivity improvement initiatives.

Supervision:
• Vendor co-ordination like review of pre-order & post order documents.
• Experience in system testing (FAT and SAT).
• 3D model review for collision checks of Cable Trays with Structure / Piping
• Ability to work in a team, contributing to the team goals and objectives.

Customer Focus:
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding about requirement of projects/Process.
Technical Knowledge:
• Specification preparation for Pressure, Flow, Level, and Temperature
instruments, cable Tray, Equipment’s selection.
• Preparation of Cable tray routing, for different type projects for electrical &
instruments cables.
• Preparation of Instruments hook-up , Sketches, Loop drawing & Termination
diagram.
• preparing instrument cable schedules and junction box (JB) grouping
• Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) with instrument suppliers
• Active learning & Innovative thinking.
Critical Competencies:

• Preparation of deliverables for basic & detail engineering projects


• Vendor/Client/Inter discipline coordination
• Preparation MR and datasheets for Instruments and Electrical equipments

Education and/or Experience:

• Education: Engineering graduate in Electrical or Instrumentation


• Experience: 4-8 years’ experience in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering in
process plants, viz chemical/Oil & Gas/Pharma plants or similar
