ABSTRACT
This project focuses on the design and development of a dynamic and scalable
electronic equipment e-commerce website using [Link] as the backend runtime
environment and MySQL as the relational database system. The primary goal is to
create a fully functional online platform where users can browse, search, and
purchase electronic products with ease.
The website includes essential features such as user registration and authentication,
product catalog management, shopping cart functionality, secure checkout and
payment integration, and an admin dashboard for managing products and orders. The
backend is built using [Link], which enables efficient handling of HTTP requests
and routing. MySQL is used to store structured data including user details, product
information, orders, and transactions.

• Limited comparison tools to evaluate similar electronic items across brands
• Inadequate customer support and after-sales service
• Complex navigation and poor user experience on existing e-commerce platforms
• Unreliable order tracking and inconsistent delivery timelines
• Security concerns during online payments
There is a need for a dedicated, efficient, and secure electronics e-commerce platform
that:
• Offers accurate product data and verified customer reviews
• Enables easy comparison and filtering of electronics based on detailed specs
• Supports real-time inventory and transparent order tracking
• Delivers a smooth user experience across devices
• Provides robust payment security and customer support
By solving these challenges, the platform will improve buyer confidence, simplify
product discovery, and enhance the online shopping experience for electronics.

4. Implementation and Coding
4.1 [Link]
Why [Link]?
[Link] is a powerful and efficient choice for web development because it
allows developers to use JavaScript on both the client and server sides,
creating a unified development environment. Built on Chrome’s V8 engine,
[Link] executes code at high speed and is known for its non-blocking,
event-driven architecture, which makes it ideal for building scalable and
real-time applications such as e-commerce platforms, chat systems, and
APIs.
2. Role of [Link] in the Project
[Link] will be used in the following ways:
Task [Link] Tools Used
Backend development. Order processing , User
management APIs creation Handling product

Report Generation VS code , mysql
5. Advantages of Using [Link]
• Fast execution with V8 engine
• Non-blocking, event-driven architecture
• Handles concurrent requests efficiently
• Uses JavaScript on both client and server
• Large ecosystem with npm packages
• Easy scalability for microservices
4.2 VS Code
Why VS Code is Used
1. Lightweight and Fast Performance
19
VS Code is a streamlined editor that opens quickly and performs efficiently, even
on lower-end systems. This makes it ideal for developers who need a responsive
and fast environment for writing and managing code.
2. Support for Multiple Programming Languages
It comes with built-in support for JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and can be
extended to support other web development languages like TypeScript, Python,
PHP, and more, making it versatile for full-stack development.
3. Intelligent Code Completion (IntelliSense)
IntelliSense provides context-aware code suggestions, function definitions,
parameter info, and auto-completions based on variable types and functions,
which helps reduce errors and increases coding speed.
4. Built-in Debugging Tools
VS Code allows developers to set breakpoints, inspect variables, and step
through code directly from the editor. This eliminates the need for external
debugging tools and streamlines the development workflow.
5. Integrated Git and Version Control
Developers can manage Git repositories directly from VS Code. This includes
cloning repos, committing changes, creating branches, and resolving merge
conflicts—all within the editor interface.
6. Rich Extension Marketplace
The marketplace offers thousands of extensions to enhance functionality,
including tools for frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue, linters like
ESLint, and integrations with services like Docker and GitHub.
7. Highly Customizable User Interface
VS Code lets users personalize their workspace by changing themes, fonts,
icons, and layout. Keybindings and settings can also be customized to match the
developer’s workflow preferences

5. About Project
5.1 Functioning of Full Project
1. Project Structure Setup
• Organize the project into folders like:
• routes/ for route handling
• controllers/ for business logic
• models/ for database interactions
• views/ for front-end (if using server-side rendering)
• public/ for static files (CSS, images, JS)
2. Tech Stack Components
• Backend: [Link] with [Link]
• Database: MySQL
• Authentication: [Link] or JWT
• Frontend: HTML/CSS/JS, or integrated frontend (React/Vue)
or templating engine (EJS/Handlebars)
3. Database Design (MySQL)
• Tables include:
• users – Stores user credentials and details
• products – Holds product listings
• categories – Groups of products
• cart – Temporary shopping cart storage
• orders – Finalized purchase information
• order_items – Items related to specific orders
• payments – Payment transaction details
4. User Registration and Login
• Use form-based registration and login
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
• Session or token is created (JWT or sessions via express-
session)
• Middleware protects routes (e.g., /cart, /checkout)
5. Product Browsing and Search
• Users can view products from the database
• Search and filter by:
• Category
• Price range
• Keyword
• Products are fetched using SQL SELECT queries via [Link]
26
6. Shopping Cart Functionality
• Add, update, or remove items from cart
• Cart can be stored:
• In session for guest users
• In database for logged-in users
• Calculations for subtotal and total done dynamically
7. Checkout and Orders
• User proceeds to checkout
• Order is created in orders table
• Each product in the cart becomes an entry in order_items
• Inventory is updated in products table (e.g., stock decreases)
5.2 Limitations
1. Scalability Constraints with MySQL
• MySQL uses a relational data model, which can struggle with horizontal
scaling when handling very large volumes of transactions or product data.
[Link] Hell in [Link]
• Without using async/await or Promises correctly, [Link] can suffer from
deeply nested callbacks, making the code hard to maintain.
3. Single-threaded Nature of [Link]
• [Link] handles requests in a single thread, which can become a
bottleneck for CPU-intensive operations like image processing or large-
scale data analysis.
4. Complex Join Queries
• MySQL can perform slower when handling complex JOINs across many
tables, which are common in e-commerce platforms (e.g., orders,
products, users).
5. Security Management
• Developers must manually implement security best practices like input
validation, protection against SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, etc., which
increases the risk of vulnerabilities if not handled properly.

7. Conclusion
7.1 Conclusion of Project
The development of an electronic e-commerce website using [Link]
demonstrates the power and flexibility of modern JavaScript-based backend
technologies. [Link], with its event-driven, non-blocking architecture,
enables efficient handling of concurrent user requests — a critical
requirement for e-commerce platforms. By integrating it with MySQL, the
project benefits from structured data management and reliable transactional
support.
Throughout the project, essential e-commerce functionalities such as user
authentication, product management, shopping cart operations, order
processing, and payment integration were successfully implemented. This
project also highlights the importance of modular code organization,
security practices, and performance optimization.
In conclusion, [Link] and MySQL together provide a strong foundation for
building scalable and maintainable e-commerce websites. With careful
planning and implementation, this tech stack can meet both the functional
and technical demands of a modern online shopping platform.
