activities that will enhance the skills and abilities of the multigrade teachers. (READ)
Other Researchers. This study will benefit through the data that will be gathered by the

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
THIS STUDY AIMS TO DETERMINE THE OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES IN
MULTIGRADE TEACHING: EXPERIENCES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN FAR-
FLUNG SCHOOLS IN SAN MARCELINO, ZAMBALES. (READ)
SPECIFICALLY, THIS STUDY WILL SEEK TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING RESEARCH
QUESTION: (READ)
SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
THE SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
ASPECTS THAT WILL RENDER TO DELIMIT THE PRESENT STUDY AND FIND ITS
RIGHTFUL PLACE IN THE VAST AREA OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH. (READ)
Subject Matter. Subject matter knowledge is widely acknowledged as a central component of
what teachers need to know, research on teacher education has not, in the main, focused on the
development of teachers' subject matter knowledge. (READ)
Research Environment and Timeline. Multigrade teaching environment is prevalent in most of
the schools in our country. So, when a teacher handles many grades, Activity based learning, peer
learning & class room learning must take place for effective learning in the classroom. The
teacher has to adapt all the techniques available for a natural and involved learning. (READ)

THE CONCEPTUAL MODEL THAT WILL GUIDE THE CONDUCT OF THIS STUDY
THE PARADIGM IN FIGURE 1 SHOWED THE VARIABLE OF THE GIVEN STUDY. THE
INDEPENDENT VARIABLE IS CONSISTED THE OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES
IN MULTIGRADE TEACHING.
ON THE OTHER HAND, THE DEPENDENT VARIABLE INCLUDES THE BASIS FOR
CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS AND INTERVENTIONS IN INCREASING
LEARNERS’ ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN THE DISTRICT OF SAN MARCELINO,
ZAMBALES.
CHAPTER III – METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH DESIGN
According to Polit & Beck, (2012), the phenomenon or case can be a person, a group, an
organization, or an event. The use of a single case study is an appropriate design for certain
circumstances, including when the case represents (a) a critical situation to test the theory, (b) an
authentic case, (c) a regular case that can facilitate understanding of usual circumstances, (d) an
open case that previously has been inaccessible, or (e) a longitudinal case (Yin, 2014). (READ)

DATA ANALYSIS
Qualitative research aims to identify categories and generate patterns of responses through an
inductive process (McMillan & Schumacher, 2006, p. 364). According to Creswell (2009, p. 183).
The process of data analysis involves preparing data for analysis, conducting different reviews,
moving deeper and deeper into understanding the data, representing the data, and making an
interpretation of the broader meaning of the data. (READ)
THAT’S THE END OF MY PRESENTATION PO! THANK YOU AND GOOD AFTERNOON!
