About Us
Almond is a fintech startup born out of MIT and Harvard that creates economic development
through mobile financial inclusion. In partnership with local financial institutions, Almond
provides access to essential financial technology services such as remittances using a
blockchain-based funds transfer infrastructure as well as alternative credit scoring. Our remote
team of fifteen is growing globally, and we’re seeking to add more smart and talented people,
including a Full Stack Developer.

Role
The Full Stack Developer will manage the development of the “Almond Enterprise Portal”, a web
application for our partners to track their transactions, settlements and accounts across the
Almond Network. Additionally, the developer will interface directly with the technical teams of our
partner financial institutions to oversee onboarding and integration processes. This includes
customizing or adding to our existing suite of APIs and interfaces to meet the needs of our new
partners.

The ideal candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple concurrent
projects and has excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-team, collaborative
environment. The candidate is expected to work with team members and partners across
different time zones.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in


● Software development in Java
● Spring Boot Framework
● AWS services
● Writing unit tests
● CI/CD tools (across GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes)
● Data structures and relational databases (MySQL, Postgres)
● React
● REST API development
● Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript

● Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

Responsibilities
● Manage the development of the “Almond Enterprise Portal”, a web application for our
partners to track finances across the Almond Network
● Work with the tech teams of prospective partners to oversee onboarding and integration
● Suggest and make additions to our existing product suite to meet the needs of our new
partners
