■ What's Mine, What's Theirs ■

Sometimes we think things because we truly believe them, and sometimes because others tell
us. This activity will help you know what belongs to YOU and what comes from OTHERS.

✏■ Step 1: Write the thought that is bothering you.

Example: 'It’s wrong to feel attracted to boys.'

■ What's Mine (My Beliefs) ■ What's Theirs (Others’ Beliefs)

(What I truly feel or want to believe) (What I hear from society, family, media, etc.)

■ Step 3: Think and answer:

1. Which column has more influence on me?
2. How do I feel when I realize some beliefs are not truly mine?
3. What beliefs do I want to keep?
4. What beliefs do I want to let go of?

■ Step 4: My Takeaway:
■ 'I have the power to choose which beliefs guide my life.'

■ Remember: You are allowed to think, feel, and choose what makes you YOU!
