ORDER

11.03.2026 Complainant is in attendance through lawyer. Petition filed u/s

23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 on

behalf of complainant for granting interim maintenance to complainant,

is put up today for order.

It is submitted on behalf of complainant that she is legally

wedded wife of respondent and she was married to Laxmi Narayan

Pramanik on 07.10.2024 at Pahari Mandir, Ranchi according to Hindu

rites and rituals and the same was later registered on 08.10.2024 and

after marriage petitioner and respondent lived and cohabit together

during the time frame of October, 2024 to December, 2025 as husband

and wife at her matrimonial home/ shared household in Chutia, Ranchi

and the marriage was consummated between the petitioner and

respondent. The respondent filed a divorce petition vide no. 1001/2025

and left the rented house on 15.12.2025 and after that the petitioner/

complainant is suffering from all issues like room rent, medicine,

groceries, medical issues from last three months. It is further submitted

that her in­laws ousted the petitioner from her matrimonial house on

03.12.2024 and after that she filed an application at Silli P.S. on

03.12.2024. It is further submitted that the petitioner has no

independent source of income and is living at the mercy of relative and

she has no any place to reside other then the rented house and she is

not able to pay the rent amount and now she is homeless and suffering

from health issues. The respondent has not paid single penny to the

petitioner since her separation on 15.12.2025 and he has never cared

nor bothered about the welfare and well being of petitioner. The

petitioner is dependent upon her father for her financial needs. It is

further submitted that the respondent is working as a bike rider and he

has various sources of income like stock market, goodwill,

cryptocurrency and he has also invested in shares and mutual funds and

he has ancestral property. It is submitted that from all sources he is

earning an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/­ per month and having sufficient

income he has refused and neglected the petitioner/ complainant. It is

prayed to direct the respondent to pay Rs. 50,000/­ per month to the

petitioner towards interim maintenance to the petitioner.

Heard. Perused the case record as well as report of CDPO,

Sadar Ranchi. From perusal of case record it transpires that admittedly

both the complainant and respondent are living separately. The CDPO

stated that on repeated direction respondent did not turn up and the

respondent is violating the order of the court. It is evident that

petitioner/ complainant has no source of income and she is dependent

upon her father. So far the income of respondent stated by the

petitioner in this petition that the respondent is earning an amount of

Rs. One lakh from several sources is concerned, the petitioner has not

produced any chit of paper regarding such income of respondent.

However, the respondent is able bodied person and he has ousted the

petitioner from her matrimonial home and she has no source of income.

Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED

that the respondent to pay Rs. 5,000/­ (Rupees five

thousand) per month as ad interim maintenance including that for her

medical expenses from the date of this order.

Let a copy of this order be sent to concern Protection

Officer to ensure its compliance and furnish her report to this Court on

the next date.
