Reflection Questions: Class #5 (04/30)
Please review the questions below and select TWO to answer for your one-page weekly
reflection (~half a page per question). Kindly indicate which questions you have chosen.
All assignments should be submitted electronically via Canvas under the appropriate
assignment tab. Submissions are due prior to the start of the next class on 5/7. Please use
the following template for naming your files: LastName_FirstName_Weekly-[Link].
1. What do you see as the key challenges/gaps in the current healthcare system, and how
can scientific advances help address them?
2. Responsibility = Purpose x Culture x Process. As you move forward in your career,
developing new products and services that affect people's lives, how are you thinking
about your responsibility to protect the people who are interacting with your product or
service? Please describe how you will use the levers of 1) purpose, 2) culture and 3)
process to have a positive impact on society in a responsible manner.
3. To what extent are you comfortable sharing your personal health data with AI models,
and what factors influence your perspective? In your view, how might the integration of
AI into healthcare transform the current healthcare system, both in terms of benefits and
potential concerns?
4. How do you keep your high performance sustainable over a long period of time?
5. How intentionally are you managing expectations and pressure in your life? What
systems — such as but not limited to those that Edwin and Yetsa mentioned (habits,
routines, mental recovery practices, or support from your community) — have you put in
place to sustain both long-term performance and effectiveness under pressure? If you
have not yet established such systems, what might an ideal approach look like for you?
6. Have you ever found yourself placing limits on your own identity or abilities, essentially
putting yourself “in a box”? If so, what did that look like (e.g., a specific role, expectation,
or comfort zone)? Have you ever challenged or moved beyond those limitations? If so,
what prompted that shift, and how did you navigate it? Reflect on Edwin’s experience
during his time as an athlete and consider how it relates to your own experiences with
self-imposed limitations.
7. What was the most thought provoking or compelling concept for you from class #5?
