TEAM CONTRIBUTION
The development of the Sensora : Smart Blind Stick system was a collaborative effort involving four
team members. Each member was assigned specific roles based on their strengths while also
contributing collectively to the overall success of the project. The division of work ensured efficient
execution across hardware, software, research, and testing domains.
1. Shreya Shinde – Software Development & Logic Implementation
Shreya handled the software side of the project, focusing on programming and system logic. Her
contributions include:
• Writing Arduino code for sensor data acquisition and processing
• Implementing decision-making algorithms for hazard detection
• Developing logic for directional feedback (left/right/front alerts)
• Integrating vibration motors and buzzer/voice alerts with code
• Optimizing code for real-time performance and low latency
• Debugging software errors and ensuring smooth execution
Her work ensured that the system responds intelligently and efficiently to environmental inputs.
2. Utkarsh More – Hardware Design & System Integration
Utkarsh was primarily responsible for the complete hardware architecture of the system. His
contributions include:
• Designing the circuit layout and selecting appropriate components
• Interfacing ultrasonic sensors for multi-directional obstacle detection
• Integrating IR/ToF sensors for ground-level hazard detection
• Connecting moisture sensors for water detection
• Ensuring proper wiring, soldering, and power management
• Troubleshooting hardware issues and optimizing sensor placement for accurate readings
He played a key role in transforming the conceptual design into a functional physical prototype.
3. Janhavi Mate – Research, Documentation & Design
Janhavi was responsible for research analysis and complete project documentation. Her
contributions include:
• Conducting literature survey of existing smart blind stick systems
• Identifying research gaps such as lack of water detection and ground sensing
• Writing structured sections including abstract, introduction, methodology, and conclusion
• Preparing diagrams (system architecture, workflow) and formatting the report
• Assisting in presentation design (PPT) and content organization
• Ensuring proper formatting as per academic/IEEE standards
She ensured the project is well-documented, clearly presented, and academically strong.
4. Tanishka Ratnaparkhi – Communication Module & System Testing
Tanishka focused on communication features and system validation. Her contributions include:
• Integrating GPS module for real-time location tracking
• Implementing GSM module for SOS alert messaging
• Configuring emergency alert system with predefined contacts
• Testing system performance under different real-world scenarios
• Identifying and fixing issues related to connectivity and response time
• Validating accuracy of alerts and overall system reliability
Her role was crucial in making the system practical and reliable for real-world usage.
Overall Team Collaboration:
All team members actively participated in:
• Idea generation and system design discussions
• Problem-solving and debugging sessions
• Integration of hardware and software components
• Final testing and project demonstration
The collaborative effort ensured a balanced combination of innovation, technical implementation,
and user-centered design.
