CHURCH
The word "Church" is derived from the Latin dominicum "ecclesia". As I break in deep in the meaning of
church as "Mystic Corporis" as for Pope Pius XII meaning the Mystical Body of Christ and St Paul
teaches that the church is a community of believers in Christ. The Christians today attain and deepen their
faith through the two creeds that attain a special place in the Church life: apostles creed and the Nicene
creed.
The Apostles creed is called so because it is rightly considered to be a summary of the apostles' faith and
the "Niceno-Constantinopolitan" referred to as Nicene Creed. The Profession of faith in the creeds begins
with God; Being Father & the first divine person of the most high Trinity and creation of heaven and
earth.
1. I believe in One God, are the words with which the Creeds begin with, The confession of God's
oneness which has its roots in the divine revelation of the Old Covenant, of Israel, his chosen race, God
revealed himself as the only one "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love your
God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might and also Jesus affirms that God is
"the one Lord" whom you must love "with all your heart and with all soul, mind and all your strength.
2. The Father, In the name of the father and the son and of the Holy Spirit, this is referred to as the holy
trinity being a central mystery of Christian faith and is mystery of God himself that's why Christians are
baptized in the name of the father & the son and of the Holy Spirit. The mission of the Holy Spirit sent by
the father in the name of the son (John 14:26) and by the son "from the father" (John 15:26), reveals that,
with them, the Spirit is one and the same God "with the father and the son he is worshipped & glorified"
3. The Almighty, God shows forth his almighty Power by the conversion from our sins and restoring us to
his friendship by grace. "God you show your almighty power above all in your mercy and forgiveness."
4. Creator, In the creation of the world and man, God gave the first and universal witness to his almighty
love and his wisdom the first proclamation of the "plan of his loving goodness," which finds its goal in the
new creation in Christ.
5. Heaven and earth, God willed the diversity of his creatures and their own particular goodness, their
interdependence, and their order. He destined all material creatures for the good of the human race man
and through him all creation.
6. Man; The Bible says man is Pre-destined to reproduce the image of God's son made man, the Image of
the invisible God (Col 1:15), so that Christ shall be the first born of a multitude of brothers and sisters
(Eph 1:3-6, Rom 8:29)
7. The fall, Christians believe that "the world has been established & kept in being by the creator's love,
has fallen into slavery to sin but has been set free by Christ, crucified & risen to break the power of the
evil one and as a result of Original Sin human nature is weakened in its powers subject to ignorance,
suffering & the domination of death and inclined to sin.
