The main objectives of the research presented are as follows:
• Investigating the behavioural aspects of Indian investors regarding their intentions to adopt
cryptocurrency based on blockchain technology.
• Identifying and analysing key determinants of this adoption, specifically focusing on
attitude, risk perception, accessibility, behavioural intention, social impact, and trust.
• Exploring the factors of acceptance versus abstinence, particularly by examining how
perceived usefulness and individual attitudes influence an investor's decision to use or avoid
volatile technology.
• Addressing a significant gap in existing literature by focusing on the Indian market, whose
unique economic, demographic, and regulatory frameworks differ from the industrialised
economies typically covered in international research.
• Providing actionable insights for regulators and policymakers to assist them in formulating
appropriate strategies and frameworks for the cryptocurrency market within India.
• Examining causal relationships between variables like perceived ease of use, perceived
usefulness, and attitude to determine their specific impact on the final intention to use
cryptocurrency.
