Objective: Develop a mini-course or learning module using generative AI tools to assist in the
design and content creation process.

Description: You will use various generative AI tools to create a comprehensive learning
module on a topic of their choice, demonstrating the potential and limitations of AI in
instructional design.

Requirements:
1. Select a specific topic and target audience for a 3-5 hour learning module (1 point)
2. Use a generative AI tool (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to create an initial course outline
and learning objectives (2 points)
3. Generate content for at least three different components of the module using AI
tools:
• Lecture notes or script
• Quiz or assessment questions
• Student activity or project description (3 points)
4. Curate and edit the AI-generated content, adding your own expertise and
adjustments (2 points)
5. Create a final course package that includes:
• Refined course outline and objectives
• Edited content for chosen components
• A 500-word reflection on the process, discussing:
▪ The effectiveness of AI in course design
▪ Challenges faced and how they were overcome
▪ Potential ethical considerations
▪ How the AI-generated content was improved or adapted (2 points)

Submission:
