AI for EAs: Facilitator Script
75-Minute Workshop | Blume Ventures
Facilitator: Ria Shroff Desai
Before the Session
Room Setup (15 min before)
• Chairs around a shared table, not classroom-style. You want them looking at each other.
• Print 5 copies of the workbook. Place one at each seat.
• Your laptop on screen with Claude Chat and AI Studio open in tabs.
• WiFi password visible on whiteboard or card.
• A real upcoming meeting queued up for the live dossier demo.
• Your own to-do list ready for the Daily Shutdown demo.
• Questionnaire responses reviewed. Note common pain points to reference.
Block 1: Let’s Talk About AI (10 min) — Slides 3-4
SLIDE 3: Section Divider
Don’t linger. Move straight to the discussion slide.
SLIDE 4: An Honest Conversation — FACILITATED DISCUSSION
This is the most important block. If you rush this, the rest of the session won’t land. These 10 minutes
set the emotional tone.
"Before I show you a single tool, I want to hear from you. This is a safe space. There are no stupid
questions. I want the real stuff on the table."
Work through the 4 prompts on the slide. Go around the table for each one. Don’t rush.
Prompt 1: What excites you? Let people share. If someone says “nothing,” that’s fine. Note it and move
on.
Prompt 2: What worries you? This is where it gets real. Common answers: job security, making mistakes,
not keeping up. Validate everything. Say: “All of that is valid. Let’s address each one today.”
Prompt 3: What has your partner/manager said? This tells you the organisational context. If a partner
has been pushing AI, that’s different from one who’s never mentioned it. Reference the questionnaire
responses here.
Prompt 4: What have you tried? Even personal use counts (recipe lookups, homework help). If someone
has used ChatGPT, ask: “What did you use it for? What worked? What didn’t?” This bridges into the next
section.
"Great. Now that we know where everyone’s starting from, let me show you what’s actually
inside these tools. It’s simpler than you think."
Block 2: How AI Actually Works (8 min) — Slides 5-7
SLIDES 5-6: What’s Inside the Box
"An LLM is basically autocomplete on your phone, but scaled up by a million. Your phone predicts
the next word. Claude predicts the next paragraph. It doesn’t think. It doesn’t know things. It’s a
very sophisticated pattern matcher. That’s why it’s incredible at writing and terrible at
judgment."
Walk through the Good/Bad columns. Spend extra time on the “Where It Falls Short” column:
"Hallucination is the big one. AI can confidently tell you something that’s completely made up. It
doesn’t know what it doesn’t know. That’s why you always verify facts, names, and dates. Never
send an AI-drafted email without reading it first."
SLIDE 7: The Golden Rule
This is the slide you want them to remember. Slow down here.
"If you take one thing from today, let it be this. Garbage in, garbage out. A vague prompt gives
you a vague answer. A specific prompt gives you something you can actually use. Look at the
difference."
Point to the vague vs specific prompt comparison. Read both out loud. The contrast should be obvious.
"The skill isn’t learning the tool. The tool is easy. The skill is learning to ask well. And that’s what
we’ll practise today."
Block 3: Universe of AI Tools (5 min) — Slides 8-9
SLIDE 9: AI Tools That Matter for EAs — DISCUSSION
This is participatory, not a lecture. Go through the tools quickly, then open it up.
"Here are the tools that matter for your work. Raise your hand if you’ve used any of these."
Go tool by tool. When a hand goes up, ask: “What did you use it for? What was easy? What was hard?”
Keep it to 30 seconds per person.
"Today we’re going to focus on Claude and Google AI Studio. Those are your two core tools. The
workbook covers all the others in Section 2."
Block 4: Your Mental Load (8 min) — Slides 10-12
SLIDE 10: Section Divider
"Before we talk about how to help your partners, let’s start with you. You carry an enormous
mental load. The scheduling puzzles, the open threads, the 11pm anxiety of ‘did I forget
something.’ Let’s quiet that noise first."
SLIDE 11: Mental Load Projects
Don’t walk through every card. Just highlight 2-3 and point to the workbook for the rest.
"These are 6 projects for your own workflow. Notice the WhatsApp integration one — this is
designed for how you actually work. You text yourself notes, then batch-process them weekly
with Claude. No new app needed. Section 3 in your workbook has full details. Let me show you
the one I think matters most."
SLIDE 12: Daily Shutdown — LIVE DEMO
This is your first live demo. Switch to Claude Chat on screen.
• Pull up your own actual to-do list (or reconstruct one quickly).
• Type the Daily Shutdown prompt live, with your real tasks.
• Let them watch Claude process it. Read out what it flags.
• Say: “This took 90 seconds. I do this every evening. It’s the single best AI habit I’ve built.”
• Point to Section 3 for Template Factory, Gmail Filters, SOP Documentation, and WhatsApp
integration.
Block 5: Claude & ChatGPT (8 min) — Slides 13-15
SLIDE 14: Claude Chat vs ChatGPT
"You should know both tools. Claude is what we’ll use most today — it’s better at writing and
complex instructions. ChatGPT is good to know as a second opinion and has some features
Claude doesn’t, like image generation and voice mode. Both are free."
Briefly mention Cowork at the bottom of the slide:
"There’s also Claude Cowork, which works directly on your desktop files. Think of Chat as texting
a colleague and Cowork as giving them access to your computer. We’ll focus on Chat today."
SLIDE 15: 5 Prompting Rules
Walk through each quickly. The most important one is #4 (Iterate).
"The biggest mistake people make is starting over when they don’t like the first answer. Don’t.
Just say: make it shorter, change the tone, add a section. Claude remembers the conversation.
Treat it like editing with a colleague, not starting from scratch."
Block 6: Google AI Studio (5 min) — Slides 16-17
SLIDE 17: Mailbox Workflows — LIVE DEMO
Switch to AI Studio on screen. Run 1-2 demos live:
• Demo 1 — Inbox Triage: Type the prompt. Let them see results populate. React to what comes
up. Ask: “How long would it take you to figure this out by scrolling through your inbox?”
• Demo 2 — Thread Summariser (if time allows): Pick a long thread. Ask AI Studio to summarise.
Read the output.
• Say: “Section 5 in your workbook has all 5 workflows. Try these on your own inbox first.”
Block 7: Quick Wins, Automations & Reports (8 min) —
Slides 18-20
SLIDE 19: Partner-Facing Projects — LIVE DEMO
This is your biggest demo. Switch to Claude Chat. Build a dossier live.
• Use the real person you queued up. Type the dossier prompt live.
• While Claude works, narrate: “Watch. It’s searching the web, pulling LinkedIn, finding news.”
• When output appears: “This took 90 seconds. Manually? 20-30 minutes.”
• If the dossier misses internal context: “This is where you add the 20% only you know.”
SLIDE 20: Automations + Reports
Move quickly. You’re showing what’s possible, not teaching how to build it.
"These are systems, not one-off tasks. Contact logging, investor tracking, follow-up consolidation.
Start with the simplest version: paste notes into Claude at end of day, copy output to a Sheet.
That’s it. The advanced versions come later. Section 7 and 8 in your workbook."
On Summary Reports: Mention the calendar insight:
"Run a meeting type analysis on last month’s calendar. I guarantee your partner will be shocked.
They always think they spend 40% with founders. The real number is usually closer to 20%."
Block 8: People CRM (5 min) — Slides 21-22
Slow down here. This slide consistently generates the most energy.
"This is probably the most important system in the workbook. In VC, the difference between
sending a generic Diwali hamper and remembering that someone’s daughter just started at
Cathedral — that’s not a small thing. That’s the difference between a transaction and a
relationship."
"The system is simple: a Google Sheet with personal details, and a WhatsApp habit. After every
dinner, you text yourself: CRM: Rajesh — wife Priya, loves single malt, vegetarian. Once a week,
batch those into Claude. When Diwali comes, paste the sheet and ask for personalised gift
suggestions. No app. Just the habit."
Point to the workbook: “Section 9 has six projects covering the full CRM system, including no-code
WhatsApp automation.”
Block 9: Hands-On Practice (12 min) — Slides 23-24
SLIDE 23: Section Divider
"OK, enough watching me. Open your laptops. Two exercises, 12 minutes total."
Exercise 1: Meeting Dossier (7 min)
• Say: “Pick a real meeting your partner has coming up. Open Claude, enable web search, build a
dossier. Use the prompt from the slide or page [X] of your workbook.”
• Start a timer. Walk around the room. Help anyone stuck.
• At 5 min: “Two minutes left. Compare with your neighbour.”
• At 7 min: stop. Ask 1-2 people what surprised them. 30 seconds each.
Exercise 2: Daily Shutdown (5 min)
• Say: “Now something for you. Paste your real to-do list into Claude. Run the Daily Shutdown
prompt.”
• Walk around. This one is more personal, so people may be quieter.
• At 4 min: “One minute. Did Claude catch anything you’d forgotten?”
• At 5 min: “Would you do this every day?” Let 2-3 respond.
Key: If people struggle to start, walk over and help them type the first line. Once they see output, they’re
hooked.
Block 10: Homework & Close (6 min) — Slides 25-26
SLIDE 25: Homework
"Six experiments over two weeks. Each maps to a project in your workbook. You don’t have to do
all six. But I’d strongly suggest everyone does #1 and #2 — the Daily Shutdown and Morning
Inbox Triage. They’re the fastest way to see if AI fits your actual work. Start with your own
workflow, then move to your partner’s."
SLIDE 26: Closing
"I want to leave you with this. The goal is not to automate your job. It’s to clear the noise so you
can do more of what only you can do: the judgment, the relationships, the anticipation, the trust.
AI handles the formatting and the research. You handle the people. Start with one project this
week. If you get stuck, message me. If a prompt works brilliantly, share it with this group."
Pause. Don’t ask if there are questions — just wait. If nobody speaks after 5 seconds, smile and say “Go
try something tonight.” End.
