I. Reason for choosing the topic 1
The IT industry is experiencing rapid growth and
plays a fundamental role in facilitating the nation’s
digital transformation.
Despite the rising demand for recruitment, there
is still a considerable shortage of high-quality
human resources.
The IT talent shortage: fresh IT graduates often feel
lost, unsure of which skills to focus on to meet
industry demands.
Personal career growth: understanding of
technology trends, trategize my own career
path within the IT industry.
II. Statictical Data & Method
2
STATISTICAL
Method
Data Collection:
Research and Scientific Publications: Scientific studies related
to the development trends in the information technology industry,
along with technical articles and reports from universities and
research organizations, provide detailed insights and analytical
data on IT workforce demand.
Historical Data: Databases containing information on the past IT
workforce, collected from various sources such as recruitment
reports, business surveys, and statistics from government
agencies or technology associations.
Data Cleaning and Preparation:
Data cleaning:
- Remove Noise Data: Delete outliers or irelevant data points.
- Error Correction: Fix incorrect entries, duplicates, and formatting issues.
Data Standardization:
- Format Standardization: Synchronize data formats, such as dates or measurement units,
for easier processing and comparison.
- Variable Naming and Data Structuring: Align data formats, standardize variable names,
and arrange columns for analysis.
Data Transformation:
- Encode, create new variables, and normalize data to fit model requirements.
III. THEORETICAL BASIS NEEDED FOR CODE
3
Linear Regression is a widely used statistical model for predicting
continuous values. It is based on the linear relationship between
the dependent variable (output) and one or more independent
variables (inputs).
Intercept (w0): The predicted value
when all input variables are zero.
Coefficients (w1,w2,...,wn): Weights that determine
the influence of each input variable on the output.
The model is estimated using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method, which
minimizes the error between actual and predicted values.

Overview
The number of IT in Vietnam has
been increasing over the years.
Starting at 450,000 in 2019 rises
to 650,000 by 2024.
The IT workforce grows by 40,000 new professionals each year, indicating a
consistent upward trend.
The average IT salary rises from 28.75 million VND/month in 2019
to 56.2 million VND/month in 2024.
The salary growth rate is faster than the workforce growth, indicating high demand
and competition for IT talent.

Predictions: professionals by 2026.
2025: Approximately 690,000 IT professionals.
2026: Approximately 730,000 IT professionals.
V. CONCLUSION
5
Vietnam’s IT industry is experiencing steady and rapid growth, with both
workforce size and salaries increasing significantly.
By 2026, the IT workforce is expected to surpass 700,000, reflecting the
strong demand for tech talent.
This growth presents both opportunities and challenges: while
businesses can benefit from an expanding talent pool, they must also
focus on attracting and retaining skilled professionals.
Investments in education, training, and upskilling will be crucial to ensure
a sustainable supply of high-quality IT professionals to meet market
demands.
