Solved Example - Performance Curve-Method II

The document presents a solved example of calculating the performance and retarding curves for a high truck with specific weights and haul routes. It details the total resistance, effective grade, haul, and return times for different segments of the route. The calculations involve determining resistance factors based on loaded and empty weights, along with speed and time estimations for each segment.

Performance Curve
By:
Eng. Kareem Saeed Abd El-Monaim
Solved Example

An off way high truck weighs 22950 kg empty and 46550 kg loaded. The haul route is as shown in
figure (1). The haul road has a rolling resistance factor of 50 kg/t. Use performance and retarding
curve to determine:
A) Total resistance and effective grade for each portion (haul and return).
B) Haul and return time.
