Body 1: People who support subsidising fruits and vegetables believe that this policy makes
healthy food more accessible, especially for low-income groups. Fresh produce is often more
expensive than processed food, which discourages people from choosing nutritious options.
By taking this action, the government can lower prices and encourage healthier eating habits.
For example, in some areas near universities, healthy food is sold at a lower price to students
to support their daily meals.

Body 2: Likewise, some people think that taxing unhealthy food is a more effective solution
to improve public health. By increasing the prices of products high in sugar, salt, and fat, the
government can discourage excessive consumption of these harmful foods. This policy can
also raise public awareness about the health risks associated with unhealthy diets. For
instance, in some countries, unhealthy food becomes more expensive, so low-income
consumers are less likely to buy it, while healthier food remains affordable, leading to greater
exposure to higher-quality food.

Conclusion: The essay discussed that subsidising fruits and vegetables can make healthy
food more affordable for low-income groups, while taxing unhealthy food can reduce its
consumption and encourage people to choose healthier options.
