Certain symptoms need to be reported immediately such
SIGNS
as:
1. Vaginal bleeding
2. Burning urination - this can be a Urinary Tract
Infection, which can be harmful to the baby
3. Chills and fever (signs of infection)

-Most common procedure during pregnancy
-Video image with sound waves
-Sonogram: two-dimensional picture of the fetus
-Can detect more than one fetus, defects in fetal
organs, position of baby, gender, due date

-Amniocentesis: drawing fluid from the amniotic
sac by inserting a needle into the mother’s
abdomen
-Test is done from 15-18 weeks of pregnancy
-Tests for genetic and chromosome disorders
