TAB

A tab is a section at the top of Word that organizes commands into categories.

RIBBON
The Ribbon is the toolbar at the top of Microsoft Word that contains tabs, groups, and
commands used to perform tasks.

RIBBON is made up of:


[Link]: Main categories (e.g. Home, Insert, Layout)
2. Groups: Sections inside each tab (e.g. Font, Paragraph)
3. Commands: Buttons you click (e.g. Bold, Italic, Align)

Easy way to remember:


o Ribbon: Whole toolbar
o Tab: Section of the ribbon
o Group: Sections of the ribbon
o Commands: Button
