Overview (Director’s POV):
At its core, this lm addresses a serious and deeply familiar discomfort:
constipation. The intention is to treat the subject with complete honesty. The tone
must remain sincere and grounded, allowing moments of gentle humour to emerge
organically from situations and genuine human interactions.
The balance is delicate. The lm should never mock the problem or those who
su er from it. Instead, it should acknowledge constipation truthfully, showing its
emotional and practical impact on everyday life, while o ering hope and relief
through the solution.
Script Option 1:
We open on a bright, cozy living room on a Sunday morning. Varun Dhawan, his
wife and their 9-year-old daughter are lounging together
His wife suddenly lights up and says excitedly:
“Aaj long drive pe chalein? Lunch bhi baharr karenge!”
Their daughter jumps with excitement. Both turn to Varun with hopeful eyes
This time, Varun instantly mirrors their excitement —“yes! Let’s go..
All three cheer. The wife and daughter rush towards their rooms, excitedly
saying:
“Yayyy!”
They disappear into their rooms to get dressed
Varun is about to leave the hallway to get dressed - smiling, energized - when
suddenly he feels a tug. The mood and lighting of the lm changes
An angry booming voice echoes:
“Kabz ke kabze mein ho!”
The camera pans down to reveal an imposing Kabz Monster, emerging from his
stomach. The monster tightly grips a pillar and doesn’t let Varun leave
Varun tries to walk forward… but he can’t move. He struggles. Pulls. Twists
The voice continues from his stomach:
“Subah se pet saaf nahi hua… tum Kahin nahi jaaoge…”
Varun strains to free himself — but the Kabz Monster holds the pillar tighter. He
request- jaane de yaar, dekh kitne excited hain sab…please bro….
The monster doesn’t comply, we see Varun struggle and nally our man gives up,
defeated.

A dramatic qawwali-style refrain plays in the background while the struggle is
happening:
Kabz waali jail se rihaayi nahi…
Softovac nahi toh aazaadi nahi,

Cut to the wife and daughter return fully dressed, excited, ready to go.
Varun is still in his home clothes. Not ready. The wife looks shocked… then
furious. The daughter looks heartbroken
Varun looks at them helplessly… then nally says: “Nahi ho paayega.”
The wife angrily storms off. The daughter, distraught, follows her making a long

Brief Note on Option 1 (Director’s POV)
In Option 1, the con ict is kept internal, between the protagonist Varun Dhawan
and his constipation. Here, constipation is personi ed as an inner struggle.
When the wife and child move away to their rooms to get ready, we clearly
establish that the wife is unaware of the true extent of Varun’s problem. The real
confrontation—emotional and dramatic—unfolds between the protagonist and his
“Kabz Monster.” Since the wife is unaware of the problem, she will not be the
part of the solution and she will come only in the end after the issue is resolved
This approach ampli es the drama by presenting constipation as a controlling
presence that denies the protagonist his “azaadi” (freedom), which also aligns
with the insights from the research note shared with the script. It highlights that
constipation is not just a physical, internal issue; it seeps into one’s personal life,
relationships, and daily joys.
The qawwali reinforces this theme with a playful yet impactful wordplay on
“azaadi,” underscoring Varun’s struggle to free himself from Kabz. Both visually

OPTION 2: Wife Know
We open on a living room of a home, Varun Dhawan, his wife and daughter are
lounging on a Sunday morning. His wife excitedly says, “Aaj long drive pe
chalein? Lunch bhi baharr karenge!”
Their 9-year-old daughter gets excited, and both look at Varun with expectation.
VD momentarily has an excited expression…but it changes to a sad one.
And he says, "Ek baar poochh lu."
To this the wife replies- voh toh mana hee karega..
He says this and looks down and is about to ask…
Suddenly, an angry booming voice responds, “Kabz ke kabze mein ho!
The camera pans to his stomach, and we see that he is looking at his stomach.
The mood & the lighting of the lm changes.
The voice from his stomach continues,
" Subah se pet saaf nahi hua… chalo andar jaake baitho…
A qawwali style refrain plays,
Kabz waali jail se rihaayi nahi…
Softovac nahi toh aazaadi nahi,
aazaadi nahi aazaadi nahi
We see our man trying to request the kabz monster by joining hands and
mouthing please please. The kabz monster remains unfazed gesturing NO
CHANCE
He looks at the wife and child and says disappointedly
‘nahi ho paayega.
Wife and the daughter angrily turn their head away, in search of some solution to
this never ending problem.

Brief Note on Option 2 (Director’s POV)
This lm plays on a simple, very relatable family moment and uses it to set up an
unexpected reveal
When Varun says, “Ek baar poochh lu,” it’s clear from his wife’s immediate
response – “Voh toh mana hee karega” – that this is a recurring situation in the
house. The family already knows there is a “third authority” he always has to
check with. This device is deliberately used to mislead the audience into
believing there’s a fourth person in the home – perhaps a strict parent –
someone who habitually says no to fun plans.
The reveal, of course, is that this dominating presence is no one else but his own
“stomach monster” – Kabz. The angry, booming voice, the shift in mood and
lighting, and the camera pan to his stomach all turn a mundane health issue into
a character: a jailor who keeps him imprisoned and stops him from enjoying life.
This approach highlights that constipation is not a one-off problem; it’s a long-
standing, unresolved issue that silently controls the protagonist’s daily life and
plans. The wife’s reaction is crucial here. She isn’t surprised, she’s resigned –
she’s lived with this pattern and its consequences. When all three look up in
search of a solution, she is a natural part of that journey because it’s her life too
that is affected every time plans get canceled or joy is delayed due to his
condition.
