Basic tools of adobe indesign

 Frame tool (F) – mainly used for inserting image in it and


has cross line inside the shape
 Shape tool (M) – mainly used for inserting color in the
shape or for the stroke of the shape
 Eyedropper tool (I) – mainly used for putting same color of
one image to another image or shape
 Swatches – where we can save any color which we want to
use frequently [comes under fill color ]
 Color – change different color and we can get the code of
the color
 Gap tool (U) - to make gap between any image and make
one image smaller and the another bigger .
With shift single image will move without shift all the
image in the frame will move
 Gradient tool (G) – to make colour gradient direction in
the shape
 Gradient feather tool (shift+G) = to make transparent
gradient
 Scissor tool (C) - to cut any shape or line
 Direct tool (A) – to extend any line or change in a shape
manually and can also select any line of the shape to bend
it
 Text tool (T) – first make a box after clicking on text tool
[ Open type on the function bar and select fill with place
holder text to make any random matter ]
 A master in function – it is the page which can change all
the page like colour or edit it
