ADVANCED COMPUTER
ORGANIZATION
- is concerned with the structure and
behavior of a computer system as seen
by the user. It acts as the interface
between hardware and software. It
deals with the components of a
connection in a system.
INPUT UNIT 4 main units of a
Computer System of
OUTPUT UNIT

CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT Organization
MEMORY UNIT
The data entered by the user through
these devices is sent to the CPU for
processing.
INPUT UNIT
-is responsible for receiving data
and instructions from external
sources and converting them into a
form that can be processed by the
computer.
ALU - Arithmetic Logic Unit
CU - Control Unit
CENTRAL
Parts of Central Processing Unit PROCESSING UNIT
ALU - is the brain of the computer
system. It is responsible for
CU processing data and instructions
and performing arithmetic and
logical operations.
It is divided into two main categories:
Primary Memory and Secondary
Memory.
MEMORY UNIT
Primary Memory Secondary Memory
- is responsible for storing data
and instructions that are
currently being used by the CPU.
The data processed by the CPU is sent to
these output devices.
OUTPUT UNIT
- is responsible for displaying the
results of the processing to the
user.
