Module 1: DC Circuits & Power Generation
• Ohm's Law: V = I R

• Kirchhoff's Current Law: ΣI_in = ΣI_out

• Kirchhoff's Voltage Law: ΣV = 0

• Series Resistance: R = R1 + R2 + R3 + ...

• Parallel Resistance: 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...

• Power: P = V I = I²R = V²/R

• Energy: E = P t

• Efficiency: η = (Output/Input) × 100

Module 2: Single Phase AC Circuits


• Instantaneous Voltage: v = Vm sin(ωt)

• Instantaneous Current: i = Im sin(ωt)

• Angular Frequency: ω = 2πf

• RMS Value: Vrms = Vm/√2, Irms = Im/√2

• Average Value: Vavg = 2Vm/π

• Form Factor = Vrms/Vavg = 1.11

• Peak Factor = Vm/Vrms = √2

• Inductive Reactance: XL = 2πfL

• Capacitive Reactance: XC = 1/(2πfC)

• Impedance (RLC): Z = √(R² + (XL-XC)²)

• Phase Angle: tanφ = (XL-XC)/R

• Active Power: P = VI cosφ

• Reactive Power: Q = VI sinφ


• Apparent Power: S = VI

• Power Factor: cosφ = P/S

• Resonant Frequency: fr = 1/(2π√LC)
