Chapter 14: The Triumph of the Witch
Summary:
After a deal is made to save Edmund, Aslan orders the camp to move to the Fords of Beruna. On
the way, Aslan is very quiet and looks sad. He spends time teaching Peter how to lead the army in
a big battle, but warns he might not be there.
That night, Susan and Lucy follow Aslan into the woods. He allows them to stay briefly and asks for
comfort. They hide and watch as the White Witch and her followers capture Aslan.
Aslan does not resist. The creatures tie him up, shave his mane, and mock him. The Witch reveals
he is sacrificing himself for Edmund. She kills him with a stone knife.
