Practice A:
Young people going on the Internet for a large amount of time without
parents’ supervision can lead to some major issues. One of the biggest problems is
that they might share personal information with other people. This could provide
bad people, kidnappers or criminals with the child’s location or their parent’s
personal information can be revealed online, credit card number for example. After
that, strangers can take advantage of this or sell these information to somebody
else. Mental health problems is another issue that the young is facing when using
the internet with unsupervised access to the Internet, this involves online
harassment, anxiety, depression and other psychological diseases . In addition,
when the young spend a lot of time playing games on phones or surfing social
networks without adults' supervision, they tend to pay all of theeir attention to it,
therefore, time is insufficient for them to do homework.
Practice B
Many health problems today may be caused by modern technology. Firstly,
technology such as tablets, smartphones or computers may increase the risk of
eyestrain since they can hold a person’s attention for long periods. This constant
exposure to digital devices can cause redness around the eyes, headaches, blurred
vision. Secondly, sometimes if people wear headphones to listen to music while
walking on the street, they may be unable to hear cars or motorbike or other means
of transports coming, which is seriously dangerous since they might get struck and
can be badly injured. Additionally, excessive use of smartphones, laptops, and
tablets can lead to physical inactivity an increased risk of a range of health
conditions, including obesity, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
Practice D
Excessive TV-watching can lead to a number of negative impacts on
children. Firsly, kids who watch too much TV are at the risk of developing lazy
eye syndrome. They might experience blurry or reduced vision that is not
correctable by glasses or lenses. Children spending a lot of time watching TV also
promotes the lack of exercises and participation in other activities, and eventually a
sedentary lifestyle, all of them impact the heart and the brain. This can eventually
lead to cardiovascular problems, obesity and other health disorders. In addition, TV
addiction in children can result in poor academic performance since they
sometimes skip school and homework to watch TV.
