INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
1 Candidates shall read all the instructions carefully before submitting the online applications so as to avoid the
mistakes.
2 Candidates shall provide their Mobile number and valid E-mail ID (Mandatory) for communication at relevant
columns while submitting online application. The authority is not responsible for non receipt of SMS or E-mail
due to incorrect information.
3 To avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to submit the online application well in advance. The
website will accept the application round the clock up to 15.04.2026 till 11.59 p.m.

4 The decision of the High Court of Karnataka will be final as to the eligibility of an applicant for Shorthand Test
/ viva-voce or otherwise.
5 The list of eligible candidates short listed for Shorthand Test/viva-voce will be published on the High Court of
Karnataka website-[Link]
6 Intimation will be sent to the eligible candidates through SMS message to cell phone and also an E-mail will
be sent to E-mail ID. The list of short listed Candidates will also be notified on the High Court of Karnataka
website: [Link] for downloading the Intimation-Letter. Candidate must bring his/her
Intimation-Letter, at the time of appearing for the Shorthand Test/viva-voce.
7 Candidates shall have to appear for Shorthand Test/viva-voce, if called for, at their own expenses at the place
and time decided and notified by the High Court of Karnataka.
8 Candidates shall produce the copy of Intimation Letter and Identity Proof (i.e., Voter ID or Aadhaar Card or
PAN Card or Driving License or Ration card or Passport in Original as a proof of identity) while appearing for
the Shorthand Test / viva-voce for verification.
9 Candidates while appearing for Shorthand Test/ viva-voce, shall produce all the original testimonials with a set
of self attested photo copies i.e., Certificate of SSLC or its equivalent examination, English Senior Grade
Typing Certificate, Certificates in case of Diploma in Commercial Practice/Secretarial Practice i.e., I to VI
Semester/ I to III year, Convocation Certificate, Certificate of Senior Grade/Proficiency Grade Examination in
English Shorthand, Degree Markscard and along with Provisional Degree/Convocation Certificate, Computer
basics training Certificate, Caste Certificate, Certificate for claiming Reservations, if any ( Rural/ Persons with
Benchmark Disability (Physically Challenged)/ Ex-Servicemen/ Kannada Medium/ Displaced from Projects/

Widow/ Transgenders, Three Character Certificates (one from last studied educational institution and two from
respectable persons) for verification purpose.
10 On the basis of marks obtained in Shorthand Test, candidates will be short listed for viva-voce.
11 Mere success in the Shorthand Test or viva-voce shall not confer any right to appointment and no candidate
shall be appointed to the post unless the High Court of Karnataka is satisfied, after such enquiries as may be
considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the post.
12 Candidates shall scan his/her latest passport size photograph with white back ground (having 5 cm of length X
3.6 cm of breadth with max. size 50kb) and signature on white paper in black ball point pen (having 2.5 cm of
length X 7.5 cm of breadth with max. size 25kb) in jpg format only and upload the same, while submitting the
Online application. The jpg image should be clear and visible or else the application will not be
considered for acceptance.
Note:- After successful payment of fee from the SBI e-pay Portal, the candidates are hereby instructed to
download the e-Receipt from SBI e-pay Portal in PDF format.
13 If the candidates are employed/working in any State Government or Central Government or an establishment
in public sector, the candidates shall mention Yes or No in the online application. If the candidate is selected,
he/she shall produce No Objection Certificate†from the concerned department, where he/she is working. [As
per amended Rule 11 of Karnataka Civil Service (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977].
14 On submission of online application and after payment of application fee, the candidates are directed to
upload all the documents as relied upon by them while submitting online application viz., Certificates of
qualification, Caste Certificate, Certificates of reservations claimed, if any.
15 While applying online application for the post, the candidates shall ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and
other norms as mentioned above and that all the particulars furnished by him/her are correct in all respects. In
case, if at any stage of recruitment it is found that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that
he/she has suppressed/twisted or truncated any material facts, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of
these shortcomings is found even after appointment, his/her appointment shall be liable to be terminated.
Furnishing of wrong, incomplete or incorrect information would not only lead to disqualification but also liable
for criminal prosecution.
