“HOW TO USE RICE COOKER”


Analyze

 Social function : To tell how to use rice cooker


 Generic Structure :
1) Goal : How to use rrice cooker
2) Material : Rice cooker, rice, water
3) Step :
1. Wash the rice in a sepate bowl.
2. Then place the washed rice in the inner pan.
3. Fill the pan with water. Markings inside the pan show required amounts
of water. E.g : If you two cups of rice, fill the pan with water untill the line
marked 2, or use the table below for your conference. You may adjust the
composition between water and rice to your preference.
4. Be sure to wipe dry the outside of the pan. Then place the pan into the
body and turn it slightly right and left it seats properly.
5. Close the outher lid and make sure it clicks.
6. Plug cord to power outlet. The “WARM” lamp will turn on.
7. Press the “Cook” button or push swicth downward (depending on the
type of your rice cooker panel to start the cooking process. The “COOK”
lamp will turn on.
8. When rice is done, the rice cooker will automatically switch to warming
function and the “WARM” lamp will turn on. Wait for 15 minutes before
serving the rice.
 Language Features :
1) Using Present Tense : Wash the rice in a sepate bowl.
2) Using Imperatives : Close the outher lid and make sure it clicks.
3) Using Action Verbs : Press, wash, fill
4) Using number to show thw sequence : 1, 2, 3, then.
5) Using adverb : Properly, automatically.
