Environmental and Social Management Plan

The ESMP has been prepared in conformance with national legal framework and international
standards and guidelines such as the IFC Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines for
Healthcare Facilities. Its objective is to determine basic management and monitoring activities
during the construction and operation phases of the proposed satellite Women’s and Children’s
Hospital Project. The ESMP has been developed based on the identified possible negative
environmental and social impacts of the project and the identified preventive and mitigation
measures as outlined in Chapter 6. Table 7-1 below provides presents the ESMP for the
Implementation Phase of the project (construction & equipping).
