Telemarketer Script Guide
The Woods Insurance Group — Unsold Quote Follow-Up
HOW TO USE THESE SCRIPTS
• Always be assumptive — never ask permission to quote. Move forward and let them stop
you.
• "Real quick —" is your bridge to the next question. Use it to keep momentum.
• Handle objections by acknowledging briefly, then re-entering the quote flow immediately.
• Persistence pays — if they won't talk now, set an exact date/time and follow up.
• Warm transfer: always brief the advisor before dropping the customer.

SECTION 1: OPENING SCRIPTS
Script A — Price Objection Re-Engagement
Use when your notes indicate the prospect did not purchase due to pricing.
OPENING
Hi [First Name]! This is [Agent Name] calling from The Woods Insurance Group. How are you?
So I'm reaching out because we were wrapping things up on our end and your file came up.
Last time we spoke the pricing wasn't quite where you needed it to be, and before we closed
your file out I just wanted to make one more attempt — because rates have shifted and I'd hate
to close this out without making sure we gave you our best shot.
Real quick — are you still with [Competitor if noted]?
★ NOTE: After they answer, confirm vehicles, address, and any driving record changes — then move
directly into the transfer. Do not pause for permission.
Script B — Lost to Competitor / Went Another Direction
Use when your notes indicate the prospect purchased with a different carrier.
OPENING
Hi [First Name], this is [Agent Name] with The Woods Insurance Group. Hope you're having a
great day!
So I'll be straight with you — we were going through and closing out some older files and yours
came up. I know you went in a different direction when we last spoke, and that's totally fine —
but before I closed things out I just wanted to reach back out, because a lot of folks are seeing
rate increases at renewal right now and I didn't want to shut the door without giving you one
more chance to compare.
Real quick — when does your current policy renew?
★ NOTE: Use their renewal date as your hook. If it's coming up, move straight into confirming their
vehicles and transferring. If it's far out, set a callback reminder for 45 days before renewal.
Script C — Never Connected / No Prior Conversation
Use when a quote was generated but you have never spoken with the prospect directly.

OPENING
Hi [First Name]! This is [Agent Name] calling from The Woods Insurance Group. How are you
today?
So the reason I'm reaching out — we actually had a quote come through for you a little while
back and I wanted to make sure we got you taken care of before we closed your file out on our
end. I'd hate for that to just sit there without at least having a conversation.
Real quick — I show you at [Address on file], is that still correct?
★ NOTE: Confirming their address is a low-stakes first question that gets them talking. Once they
answer, move naturally into vehicles and driving record, then transfer.

SECTION 2: OBJECTION HANDLING
Handle objections by acknowledging briefly, then re-entering the quote immediately. Never linger on the objection.
The goal is always to get back into the assumptive flow.
"I don't have time right now."
FIRST PUSH BACK
I understand you may not have a lot of time right now — and neither do I. The great thing is that
we already have most of your information from your quote and it typically only takes about 5–10
minutes. I am very confident you will be pleased.
Real quick, I have you at [Address] and [Vehicles on file]. Your email address is...?
SECOND PUSH BACK — SET AN APPOINTMENT
No worries! When would be a better time for us to connect for 10 minutes?
(Work to set an exact date and time.)
Great! Now, to make sure I'm ready for our call at [TIME] on [DAY], I just need to grab a couple
of quick pieces of information. Feel free to stop me if you need to go — but real quick, can you
confirm the vehicles you have?
(Then just keep going through the process and keep rolling.)
THIRD PUSH BACK — CONFIRM AND RELEASE
It's no problem at all, [First Name]. I look forward to speaking with you at [TIME] on [DAY] and
am so thankful for the opportunity to help you. I'll send over an email to confirm along with a
calendar invite so you have it locked in. Talk with you then!
★ NOTE: After a third push back: send a confirmation email + create a calendar event and add them as
an attendee + send a reminder the day of the call. Set a future follow-up date in your lead management
system. Persistence pays.
"I'm not interested" / "I didn't request a quote."

I have great news! Although you may not have been thinking about it, I am very confident that
we will be able to help you today. It will only take a few minutes to take a look at what we can do
for you.
Real quick, I have you at [Address] and [Vehicles on file]. Your email address is...?
(Then just keep going through the process and keep rolling.)
★ NOTE: If they truly did not request a quote, proceed with courtesy — but flag the lead for a
replacement credit with your lead provider before closing the file.
"I'm happy with my current carrier."
RESPONSE
I can definitely appreciate your loyalty — and I know our customers would say the same thing
about us. But it would only take a few minutes to make sure you have exactly what you need,
and I'm confident it will be worth your time.
Real quick, let me just ask a few questions so I can take a look...
(Move back into confirming vehicles, address, driving record — then transfer.)
"Your price was too high last time."
RESPONSE
I hear you — and that's actually exactly why I'm calling. Rates move around and I'd hate for us
to still be in that spot without giving it another shot. We already have your information and it only
takes a couple of minutes.
Real quick — are you still driving the [Vehicle on file]?
"I already switched" / "I'm already covered."
RESPONSE
Glad you got taken care of! When does that policy renew?

Perfect — I'll make a note and we'll be in touch when it's coming up to make sure you still have
the best option available. We'd love to earn your business when the time comes.
"Just email it to me."
RESPONSE
Absolutely — and I'll do that. Can I also grab just a couple of quick pieces of information so our
advisor has everything ready when they send it over? It'll make sure the quote is accurate.
Real quick — are you still at [Address on file]?
(Continue through the info-gathering flow, then transfer or schedule.)
