The February ICT Club report highlights the activities, achievements, and progress

made in integrating ICT into teaching and learning across Grades 7–9. This report
provides an overview of club sessions conducted, teacher and ICT integration, key
milestones achieved, and notable accomplishments during the month. The aim is to
showcase the impact of ICT initiatives on learner engagement, digital skills
development, and overall teaching effectiveness.

1. ICT Club Sessions

During February, the ICT Club conducted 20 sessions aimed at enhancing student digital
literacy and ICT competency through the GeeksforGeeks and W3Schools curriculum.
Sessions were held daily Monday to Thursday From 4:30PM to 5:45PM, with an average
attendance of 30 learners per session.

Key activities included:

Programming Fundamentals:

● Students were introduced to basic programming concepts such as variables, loops,

conditional statements, and functions.

● Learners developed logical reasoning and problem-solving skills by applying

concepts to simple coding challenges using Scratch.

● Scratch projects were enhanced by applying computational thinking learned from

GeeksforGeeks tutorials.

Scratch Programming:

○ Students designed interactive games, animations, and basic simulations using

Scratch.

○ Learners developed problem-solving and logical thinking skills by creating

step-by-step algorithms and sequences.

○ Collaborative projects encouraged peer learning and creativity, allowing students

to debug and enhance each other’s programs.

● HTML Basics:

○ Students learned that every web page has a standard structure, including a
section for metadata, a page title, and the main content area where text, images,
and links are displayed. They understood how each part of a page contributes to
its overall presentation.
○ Students were introduced to HTML as a foundational web development skill.

○ Learners practiced structuring web pages with headings, paragraphs, lists, links,
and images.

○ Emphasis was placed on practical exercises, such as designing simple personal

webpages or project portfolios.

○ Students explored the relationship between HTML code and browser output,
enhancing understanding of digital content creation.

The club patron actively monitored progress, ensuring students followed the self-paced
curriculum and received targeted guidance where necessary.

2. ICT Integration in Teaching and Learning

During the ICT integration session were daily Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM,
learners actively engaged in digital learning using VirtualSTEM V-Labs and the Oxford Digital
Content platform ([Link] The session focused on enhancing
conceptual understanding across STEM subjects while reinforcing digital literacy.

1. VirtualSTEM V-Labs Activities:

● Students conducted interactive virtual experiments simulating real-world science and

technology concepts.
● Learners explored physics, chemistry, and biology simulations, allowing them to
visualize abstract concepts.
● The platform encouraged experimentation and inquiry-based learning, improving
critical thinking and analytical skills.
● Activities included measuring, predicting outcomes, and analyzing results in a
controlled virtual environment.

2. Oxford Digital Content Activities:

● Students accessed multimedia educational resources covering various subjects

aligned with the curriculum.
● Learners engaged with interactive exercises, quizzes, and videos, which reinforced
lesson content.
● The platform promoted self-paced learning, allowing students to revisit challenging
topics.
● Teachers guided learners in applying digital resources to problem-solving and
concept mastery.

Monday grade 7 - Mathematics 1:10 PM to 2:00 PM

Tuesday Grade 8 - Mathematics 1:10 PM to 2:00 PM

Wednesday Grade 9- Mathematics1:10 PM to 2:00 PM

Thursday Grade 7/8 - Integrated Science 1:10 PM to 2:00 PM

Friday Grade 8/9 - Integrated Science 1:10 PM to 2:00 PM

Skills Developed:

● Enhanced digital literacy and ICT competence

● Improved conceptual understanding of STEM subjects

● Strengthened self-directed learning and research skills

● Applied virtual experiments and digital simulations to complement theoretical lessons

4. Outcome of the Session:

● Students demonstrated active participation and engagement with digital platforms

● Learners could connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications

● The session reinforced the integration of ICT tools in teaching and learning, making
lessons more interactive and accessible

3. Teacher Integration
Teacher adoption of ICT remained a key focus. During February:

During February, teachers actively integrated ICT into teaching and learning, conducting four
ICT-enabled lessons per day, amounting to a total of 20 lessons per week. Their involvement
was key in reinforcing digital literacy, enhancing learner engagement, and ensuring effective use
of platforms such as Quiz Games and resources such as VirtualSTEM V-Labs and Oxford
Digital Content.

Classroom Integration:

● Teachers incorporated multimedia resources, interactive simulations, and digital

exercises into lesson delivery.

● Subjects across Grades 7–9 utilized ICT to enhance comprehension, engagement,

and practical understanding.

● Lessons were designed to include student-centered digital activities, encouraging

hands-on learning and collaboration.
● 6 teachers used ICT tools for lesson delivery and content creation

● Peer mentoring was provided for teachers with limited experience

● Lesson planning increasingly incorporated digital resources

● Teachers began exploring online platforms and educational software to support

curriculum delivery

Outcomes of Teacher Integration:

● Increased adoption of ICT in lesson delivery across multiple subjects.

● Improved teacher capacity to facilitate digital learning and supervise practical ICT
exercises.
