Foundations of Project Management

Team Development:
I believe our group achieved the Performing stage according to the Tuckman

Model. We came together to work effectively to work effectively as a unit.

We completed all the assignments on time and experienced very little

conflict. The team worked independently and worked hard to achieve to our

collective goals.

Issues and conflicts were addressed directly by casting votes. Every

member of the group was allocated one vote. We addressed conflicts by

talking them out in our Zoom meetings and within our Whatsapp chat group.

Conflicts hinder team performance and delay the team in moving forward

due to the uncertainty on how to proceed with the project.

My role in the group was to coordinate the group meetings, contribute to

group work, and to proof-read the final drafts. My specialty was making the

graphs and charts for the assignments.

Lessons Learned:

I would ask my group members to be a little more prepared by reading about

the subject matter before hand from the textbook before attempting to do

the assignment.

My view of project team success has not changed because of this

experience.

Artificial Intelligence:
This was my first time using Artificial Intelligence for Project Management.

Using ChatGPT was an eye-opening experience as it is very thorough in

answering questions. AI is not perfect as there are faults with their answers.

So it is best to use AI in combination with your brain.

As a team we learned that ChatGPT is very good for Project Managment. The

Goblin’s Tool AI and Tom’s Planner AI were not as thorough when it came to

answering the project management questions for the class assignments.

Reflection:

In the future if there is a big project that needs to be monitored, I plan to use

an S-Curve to track budget from actuality to the planned budget. The S-

Curve will also help track progress from actual to planned. The S-Curve will

also help in predicting completion dates and the resource needed.

I plan to use the risk matrix on a professional project in order to concentrate

on the higher risked and higher impacted items. The lower risked and lower

impacted items will not need as much attention.

I see myself using ChatGPT in the future for project management. I would

avoid using Goblin’s Tool or Tom’s Planner as they were not as thorough with

their answers.
