1) ADVANTAGE / DISADVANTAGE.
Giving children and adolescents pocket money is common
throughout the world.
Do the advantages of this practice outweigh the disadvantages?
These days, supporting young people and teenagers with
allowance is increasingly becoming common for some nations.
While enhancing financial mature and fostering making decision
independently can be the primary benefits, I firmly believe that
the drawbacks – wasting money unnecessary purchases and
cultivating detrimental habits – can far outweigh the positives.
In recent times, providing young people and teenagers with

nations. While enhancing financial mature and fostering making

2) DISCUSSION:
Some people think that studying online is far more effective
than studying on campus while others believe that studying on
campus is the most effective way to learn. Discuss both views
and give your own opinion.
People have different views about whether online classes are
significantly more effective rather than traditional in-person
education, or if pursuing studies on campus is the most effective
approach to learn.
Although virtual education offers flexibility and affordability, I
firmly believe that traditional teaching strategies such as
maintaining strong discipline and enhancing soft skills can far
outweigh the former method.
AGREE/DISAGREE:
Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a
compulsory part of highschool programmes (for example,
working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching
sports to younger children).
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is argued that being involved in school children to voluntary
community works such as charity activities, cleaning
neighborhood or teaching sporting activities to young people
ought to be one essential priority of school curriculum.
While cultivating team-building skills and fostering a sense of
responsibility can be the primary benefits, I firmly believe that
the drawbacks – reducing academic performance and
demotivation towards unpaid works– can far outweigh the
positives.
3) PROBLEM/SOLUTION:
In the developed world, average life expectancy is increasing.
What problems will this cause for individuals and society?
Suggest some measures that could be taken to reduce the impact
of ageing populations.
In recent times, in many countries average lifespan has
increased significantly due to the advanced technologies.
While this can be largely attributed to financial burden to
community and increasing unemployment rate among young
generation, the issue can be effectively addressed by investing
healthcare system and reducing retirement rate to keep a
balance.
4) TWO-PART :
Today, more people are travelling than ever before.
Why is this the case?
What are the benefits of travelling for the traveller?.
There is a growing trend where an increasing number of
individuals are choosing to travel more compared to the past.
While discovering new cultures and improving networking can
be the primary reasons of the trend, I firmly believe that
personal development and improving well-being are the most
advantageous aspects of travelling
1. ADVANTAGE / DISADVANTAGE.

allowance has increasingly become popular tradition for some
nations. While enhancing financial mature and fostering making
decision independently can be the primary benefits, I firmly
believe that the drawbacks – wasting money unnecessary
purchases and cultivating detrimental habits – can far outweigh
the positives.
One key advantage of providing young people with money is
that it cultivates their financial experience. When parents give
money to their children, they learn about how to spend money
wisely according to their needs such as buying food or books,
thereby feeling themselves financially in secure. This is
exemplified by children who do control budged independently
and save money for their future shopping. This, in turn develops
mathematical knowledge while calculating price of goods they
bought, payment and daily expenditures. Another key benefit of
this habit is teaching teenagers making decision independently.
With doing purchases alone, they decide to pick up products not
only by observing quality but also comparing price without
relying on guidance. Therefore, improving financial literacy and
independency are the positive outcomes of supplying young
people with money from an early stage of their lives.
However, there are some detrimental effects of giving money to
youngsters, one of which is doing unnecessary purchase. Most
of them tend to waste money the products which are not useful
for their health or entertaining video games such as chemically
based sodas, unhealthy foods or video games. For example,
according to statistics of school psychologists the students
whose grades are low at school is due to avoiding lessons to
play video games with their peers, resulting in not only poor
academic performance but also wasting money. Besides, the
development of negative habits is one of the main concerns of
early financial support. Some young people’s early exposure to
smoking, drinking alcohol and visiting nightclubs can negatively
affect on their health and family relationships. In this context,
providing allowance from an early stage contributes to shaping
negative attitudes and misleading consumption.
2. Some people think that studying online is far more effective
than studying on campus while others believe that studying on
campus is the most effective way to learn. Discuss both views

People have different views about whether online classes are
significantly more effective rather than traditional in-person
education, or if pursuing studies on campus is the most effective
approach to learn. Although virtual education offers flexibility
and affordability, I firmly believe that traditional teaching
strategies such as maintaining strong discipline and enhancing
soft skills can far outweigh the former method.
One key advantage of virtual education is flexible time tabling it
offers. When students are engaged in online courses, educators
offer lessons by considering their time and opportunities. This is
exemplified by universities that implemented online courses,
most of classes start in the evening which are convenient and
effective for learners after work. Another plus side of virtual
education is reasonable prices compared to traditional teaching
methods. By studying remotely without leaving their comfort
zone, students save their daily expenditures such as road and
food expenses which cost high if they study in campus.
Therefore, adaptability and cost effectiveness are the primary
benefits of online education.
However, on site academic learning is the most effective
practice of learning that provides discipline. To explain it
further, students’ attendance, attitudes towards the lesson and
behavior are strictly controlled which are not available in virtual
education. For example, most educational institution has a
Hemins system that controls all attitudes of students ranging
from their attendance of lessons, participation in classes to
activeness of social events by university life, ultimately resulting
in increasing academic performance and maintaining
supervision. Another key benefit of in person education is
cultivating life-long skills, such as communicative skills and
team building that are essential part of career growth in the
future. In this context, structured discipline and enhancing
essential skills are the primary advantages of traditional teaching
methods.

While cultivating team-building skills and fostering a sense of
responsibility can be the primary benefits, I firmly believe that
the drawbacks – reducing academic performance and
demotivation towards unpaid works– can far outweigh the
positives.
One key advantage of being engaged in free community
activities is fostering soft skills. When students are involved in
voluntary works such as community services, teaching sports
and charity works, they can improve team building and
communicative skills with people from different fields of life,
thereby accomplishing interpersonal skills. This is exemplified
by students who participate in coaching young people to
sporting events, they keep in touch professional coaches,
champions and experienced referees. Another key benefit of this
phenomenon is instilling a sense of accountability. With
participating in community works, particularly charity works
related to physically disability people, they can feel their
responsibility towards them and accept it their main priority to
help them. Therefore, being active in unpaid voluntary works is
instrumental in communicating with people and taking the
responsibility towards other people.
However, I am more convinced that joining in such activities
have detrimental effects on their studies. As taking part in these
services, most delegates neglect their studies at school, which
ultimately resulting in not only avoiding lessons and
assignments but also leading to poor academic performance. For
example, the final exam results of some socially active students
are too low, due to considering classes in inferior level to social
works. Another negative consequence of participation voluntary
services is appearing demotivation from their work. If they are
not rewarded financially, preparing students for sporting events
or cleaning up environment, they can lose their trust feel
themselves like a clerk or servant, which contributes to low
attendance other community services afterwards. Hence, being
engaged in these activities have negative affects both on their
studies and emotions.
