democratic values of america, and the spiritual values of asia
-​ It is in the family where values and principles are nurtured

UNDERLYING TRAITS OF FILIPINO VALUES


1.​ Personalism - importance of interpersonal relationships; “personal touch”
2.​ Familialism
- focus on the welfare and interest of the family over those of the community

- relates to the strong family influence on the individual or group behavior.
