ABSTRACT
This project presents a comprehensive child monitoring and women safety system designed to enhance child
safety and prevent missing cases, which have seen a rise in recent times. The system continuously monitors the
child’s heartbeat to ensure health status and detects any abnormal conditions. In the event the child goes missing
or moves beyond a predef ined area, the system instantly captures the GPS location and sends it to the caretaker
while also triggering an automatic message alert to the parents. Additionally, a live video stream is activated to
help visually track the child’s surroundings in real-time. All vital data, including location, heartbeat status, and live
feed, is updated on an IoT platform for remote monitoring and analysis. The information is also displayed on an
LCD screen for easy on-site access. This intelligent, IoT-based solution provides real-time updates, enhances
situational awareness, and ensures the safety and well-being of children through immediate alert mechanisms
and continuous tracking.

INTRODUCTION
In recent years, the safety and well-being of children have become a growing concern due to increasing cases of missing and
health-related incidents. To address this, a smart and comprehensive child monitoring system has been developed using IoT
technology to ensure continuous tracking and real-time alerts. The system monitors the child’s heartbeat to detect any
abnormal health conditions and provides instant updates to caregivers. If the child moves beyond a predef in ed safe zone or is
suspected to be missing, the system immediately captures the GPS location and sends alerts to the parents, including an
automatic message notif ication. A live video stream is also activated to provide a real-time visual of the child’s surroundings. All
vital information, including heartbeat status, location data, and live video feed, is uploaded to an IoT platform for remote access
and continuous monitoring. An LCD screen on-site also displays key information for local viewing. This advanced, multi-
functional solution ensures child safety by combining health monitoring, location tracking, and real-time communication,
enabling quick responses in emergency situations.

Suhas H S. MONITORING SYSTEM. with approximately 80% of cases being reported. Out of this
percentage, 74% are girls and the remaining 26% are boys.
Every 40 seconds, a child goes missing, which highlights the
severity of the situation. Children are the backbone of a
nation and their well-being is crucial for the growth and
development of a country. Abusing can have serious
emotional and mental effects on children, which can
negatively impact their future and career. Unfortunately, due
to economic conditions and parents' focus on their child's
future and career, they are unable to monitor their children all
the time. Our system aims to provide a solution to this
problem by allowing parents to monitor their children in real-
time, regardless of their location. The system uses a
concealed device, equipped with GPS technology, worn by
the child, which is connected to the parents' smartphone
using a mobile network. This Child Monitoring system offers
important features such as Heart beat monitoring,
Temperature monitoring, Discrete Panic Button, and Real-
Time Tracking, which helps parents to ensure the safety of
their children.
EXISTING METHOD
Manual Supervision by Parents or Guardians: In most cases, children are monitored directly by parents or
guardians through physical presence or periodic phone calls. This method heavily relies on constant human
attention and may fail during emergencies or when the child is out of sight.
School or Public CCTV Surveillance: Some institutions and public areas use f ixed CCTV cameras to monitor
children’s activities. However, these systems are location-bound, do not offer real-time alerts to parents, and
lack integration with health or GPS tracking for mobile safety monitoring.
PROPOSED METHOD
Integrated Health and Location Monitoring: The system continuously monitors the child's heartbeat and GPS location, sending
real-time data to caretakers and triggering alerts in case of abnormalities or if the child goes missing.
IoT Platform with Live Streaming and Notif ications: Live video streaming helps in visually locating the child, while IoT
integration updates data on the cloud, displays it on an LCD, and sends automatic calls and alerts to parents for immediate
response
Enhanced Child Safety and Emergency Response: The system offers real-time heartbeat monitoring, GPS tracking, and live
streaming, enabling immediate detection of health issues or missing cases and ensuring quick parental or caretaker
intervention.
IoT-Based Automation and Accessibility: All vital data is automatically updated on the IoT platform and displayed on an LCD,
allowing remote and on-site access to child status, reducing dependency on manual supervision and enhancing reliability.

Block Diagram Explanation
The working principle of the proposed child monitoring system is based on real-time data acquisition, analysis, and alert
generation using IoT and embedded technologies. A heartbeat sensor continuously monitors the child’s pulse rate to ensure
their health status is normal. A GPS module tracks the child’s location and sends the coordinates to the caretaker through
an IoT platform if the child moves beyond a safe zone. In case of abnormal heartbeat detection or suspected missing
conditions, the system triggers an automatic Message alert to the parents. Simultaneously, an ESP32-CAM module initiates
live video streaming, allowing parents or authorities to visually locate the child’s surroundings. All collected data, including
heartbeat, location, and video feed, is uploaded to an IoT cloud platform and displayed on an LCD for local monitoring.
This system ensures immediate alerts and continuous tracking, thereby enhancing child safety and enabling quick action
during emergencies or health-related issues.
