MULTIGRADE LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE III AND IV
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of fifty minutes’ discussion, the learners with at least 60% level of
proficiency should be able to or can:
A. identify and differentiate the weather conditions and its components;
B. recognize the factors in changing we; and
C. perform a simple role play using the weather components.

C. Materials: Power point presentation, bouquet, speaker, worksheet, cartolina,
crayons, plastic eggs.
III. PROCEDURE:

A. Preliminaries
Good morning, class.
Good morning ma’am.
How are you today?
We are fine ma’am.
Okay, before we start our lesson for today, let’s
stand and pray. (Prayer)
Before you take a sit, kindly pick all the litters
under your chair and arrange it as well, okay?

B. Motivation
Now, I am going to show you a different weather
symbol, you just need to identify what symbol it is,
okay my dear students?
Ok, what weather symbol is this?
It’s sunny ma’am.
Good Job! How about this?
It`s cloudy ma’am.
Great! What weather symbol is this?
It’s rainy ma’am.
Excellent! how about this?
It`s windy ma’am.
And lastly, what weather symbol is this?
It`s stormy ma’am.

Before we proceed to the discussion.
I have here a short video, I want you to listen
attentively because afterwards I’m going to ask
some questions regarding to the video.

D. Discussion
How can we tell that the weather is sunny day?
If the sun is shining bright, and the air is
hot.
How about when cloudy day?
If there are plenty of clouds in the sky,
and it not too hot.
What about in rainy day?
If there are dark clouds and its raining.
How about when windy day?
If the wind is strong but there is no rain.
Lastly, how can we tell that the weather is stormy
day?
If it is raining hard and the wind is very

What about weather?
Weather is the condition of the Earth’s
atmosphere at a given time and place.
Now, what do you think are the main factors that
affects the weather? Air temperature, air pressure, humidity
and wind speed and direction.
Nice! The first component is the air temperature?
Who can define what is Air Temperature? Air Temperature is a measuring
technique to ensure how cold or hot the
air is.
Now, we can say that the air temperature does
change, right class?
Good Job! During the daytime, the side of the Yes ma’am.
Earth facing the sun receives directly heat from the
sun. Making the land and water warm. This turn
makes air temperature rise.
What about night time?
During night time the side of the earth is
facing away from the sun, that’s why it
loses the source of heat, making the
temperature decrease.
The next component is the air pressure. What is air
pressure?
It is the weight of the air atmosphere
pressing down on the Earth.
It has two types, the low pressure and the high
pressure.
When the air is heavy, it presses down hard and
creates high pressure.
When the air is light, there is low pressure.
Next is, humidity. What is humidity?
It the amount of water vapor in the air.
The air holds almost all the water vapor than it can
hold at temperature. In this case, the humidity is
high. When the humidity is high, the water
evaporates slowly.
Lastly, the wind speed and direction.
I have here a crafted windmill, observe what will
happen.
What can you say about the wind speed? Is it slow,
moderate, or fast?
Yes ma’am.
How about the direction of the wind?
Good Job! It comes from the right, left side ma’am.
Remember, Air does not stay in one place all the
time. It rises when it warm and sinks when it cold.
It moves from an area of high pressure to an area
of low pressure.
The speed of wind depends on the difference
between air pressure in two areas.
If the difference is slight, the wind speed is slow
and moderate.
And what if the difference is big?
Great Job! The wind speed becomes fast and can be
violent enough to blow or houses along
the path.
E. Generalization
Now, we will be having another game, this game is
called “passing the bouquet”.
Here’s the mechanic, when the music starts
playing, you will pass the bouquet and when the
music stops, you also stop passing, and I will ask a
question whoever is holding the bouquet, ok class?

It is raining hard and the wind is very strong, what
weather condition am I?
Stormy Day
What is the air temperature?
Air Temperature is to measure how hot
or cold the air ma’am.

The air temperature
The air pressure
The humidity
And the wind speed and direction

in the earth?
It is the atmosphere ma’am.
What is air pressure?
It is the weight of the air pressing down
on the earth per unit area.
Lastly, what is the importance of these elements?

The importance of these elements is for
us to gather information about the
weather, on land, in the air, and even in
the space to have predictions and issue
timely warning about severe weather
events.
Good Job! It also simply for us to know the
weather condition, which could lead to protection
of life and property.

fun and exciting part.

F. Application
I will group you into four (4). Each group will be
given a task so you better involve yourselves, ok?

Direction: Create a skit or jingle, showing the
weather condition of the place/school.
Group 2 and 4:
“What is the Weather Condition”
Direction: Create a poem or drawing showing the
weather condition of the place/school.
You may now start, I will give you 15 minutes to
finish the assigned task on your group and after
that you will present it in front, are we clear my

IV. EVALUATION:
Grade III
Direction: Identify the different weather conditions based on the given characteristics. Write S if
it is Sunny Day, C if it is a Cloudy day, W if it is a windy day, R if it is Rainy Day and ST if it is
a stormy day. Write your answer before the number.

jackets to keep our body warm.

use jackets and umbrellas on this weather.
_______5. The wind is very strong and heavy. It is very dangerous to go out on this day. So,
people stay inside the house. Children do not have classes.
