for usable and unusable material) within the lead of 1.5 Km in UTCL land, all

SECTION - ‘B’ : CONCRETE AND Bricks Mesonary ALLIED WORKS


GENERAL
The rates for concrete shall includes mixing, placing, vibrating, tamping, forming to required slopes,
leaving surface rough for plastering, screening, etc. wherever specified or otherwise smooth finished
including labour, stop end for joints, openings, grooves, rebates, fillets, chamfers, casting in and / or
boxing out and grouting back of pipes, bolts, fittings, hacking out of old concrete, bending existing
reinforcement correctly back into position, cleaning the reinforcement and cement grouting to bond old
concrete to new concrete, curing, concreting and stripping formwork, etc. Small items such as corbels,
curbs, fillets, etc. are measured with the main items (Reinforcement measured separately unless stated
otherwise). No extra amount shall be paid for making holes in shuttering for provision of dowels, rungs,
CI steps, etc.

NOTES :
1. All concrete shall be machine mixed and compacted by appropriate vibrators.
2. The Contractor shall adopt design mix duely approved by client/consultant for RCC items.
3. Use only approved sand for all RCC/ PCC works, masonry and plaster.
4. Use black trap or equivalent variety of stone aggregates for all RCC/ PCC works in accordance with
IS-383.
5. If satisfactory curing is not done, the Engineer reserves the rights to get it cured by other agency
debiting all such cost to the Contractor.
