The global Ayurvedic and herbal medicine industry faces a growing traceability and authenticity
challenge. Herbs often pass through unverified intermediaries, leading to contamination,
adulteration, and loss of origin data. Without reliable tracking from farm collection to final
formulation, both quality assurance and consumer trust are compromised.
Current systems depend on manual
documentation or isolated databases,
making it hard to trace batches, verify
sources, or manage recalls efficiently. This
lack of end-to-end visibility not only
affects export standards and farmer
livelihoods, but also risks public health and
the credibility of traditional medicine
worldwide.
