1. Shivam has started a seasonal business of making quilts. To prepare 1 single-bed quilt, they need

They decided to buy cloth at Rs. 80 per meter and cotton at Rs. 200 per kilogram. If they also spend
around Rs. 250 per quilt on miscellaneous things to prepare the quilt, how much will it cost them to
prepare one quilt?
They got 15 rolls of this cloth, each containing 35 meters of fabric, and 300
kilograms of cotton.
Do you think they can prepare 100 single-bed quilts using this entire material? If
not, how much more material will they require?
2. In Rampur (Uttarakhand), tomato farming is done on a large scale. Due to varying weather conditions, the
produce changes throughout the season.
In one round, a farmer gets around 18 carts with 250 kilograms of tomatoes in each cart to sell. If he gets
4500 kg of tomatoes in the second round, can you tell if the production has decreased or increased and by

what quantity? If the farmer sold the tomatoes at Rs. 8 2 per kilogram, then find
the money the farmer earned in both rounds.
3. Sanjana was looking at her salary from last year. According to the calculations, her salary comes to around
Rs. 1465 per working day. She worked around 245 working days last year. She gets Rs. 80 extra per hour if
she has to stay after 5.30 pm in the office. Last year, she stayed an extra for about 36 hours in total. How
much did she earn last year?
