Dress Code Policy

Policy Objective

The objective of this policy is aimed at guiding employees to appropriate dressing, grooming

and personal hygiene at work place. Employees are expected at all times to present a

professional, business like image to clients, customers and the public. They must comply with

the personal appearance standards and are expected to dress up in a manner that is acceptable

in the workplace.

Policy Guidelines

► Employees are expected at all times to present a professional, business like image to clients,

customers and the public.

► They must comply with the personal appearance standards and are expected to dress up in

a manner that is acceptable at workplace.

► They may choose to dress in business casuals on working Saturdays and Fridays preceding

2nd and 4th Saturdays.

Business Formals

► Men

► Business Suits (for specific meetings / conferences)

► Trousers

► Collared Shirts

► Formal shoes with socks

► Ties & Blazers (for specific meetings / conferences)

► Women

► Formal Business Suit

► Formal Shirts with pants. Pants must be conservative and tailored

► Salwar Suits – well ironed/ starched

► Sarees (moderate small prints/ solid colours/ medium or thin borders) & blouses with

half/ long sleeves

► Shawls/Cardigan sweaters (solid colours preferable)

► Formal shoes and sandals

Business Casuals on working Saturdays and Fridays preceding 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

For working Saturdays and Fridays preceding 2nd and 4th Saturdays, employees are allowed to

wear business casuals as under:

► Men

► Short Sleeves

► Collared Tees/ Chinese Collars

► Jackets/ corduroy jackets/ blazers

► Khaki style well pressed trousers/ Jeans

► Corduroy in khakhi style

► Cardigan/ V-neck sweaters

► Sports Shoes/ semi-formal Shoes

► Women

► Knee length skirts and shirts

► Full/ half sleeves shirts with trousers/ Jeans. Trousers/Jeans must be conservative and

tailored.

► Corduroy khaki style/ corduroy jacket

► Shawls/Cardigan sweaters

► Sports Shoes & Sandals

► Employees are not allowed to wear torn or faded jeans, slippers, shorts and tracksuits.

► All employees dealing face to face with external customers must wear normal business

attire on last working day of the week also.

► We trust all employees will exercise good judgment in their dress sense to upkeep our

corporate image

► However, the following actions will be taken in case of non-compliance: If an employee is

found to be dressed up, in a manner which is not in tune with the organization image, a

written warning letter will be issued to him/her from HR Department on first two occasions

and action against employee would be taken post that. A copy of the indiscipline shall also

be added in the personnel file of the person for reference during annual appraisal

► Guidelines regarding use of PPE’s (Personal Protective Equipment) for the employees:

► The company shall have signs displayed with appropriate symbols in the working areas

showing what PPE’s should be worn in those areas including Plant and Project Sites

► It is the responsibility of Reporting Managers/ Project Managers to ensure that all

employees are using the PPE as per safety norms.

► It is mandatory for every employee to use PPE’s according to the safety norms provided

by the EHS Department

► Any violation by the employee shall be liable for disciplinary action.

► Violation shall be reported to the HR Department and HR shall take appropriate

disciplinary action against the violator.
