SMD Practical

The document outlines a practical assignment involving various aspects of 3D modeling and assembly design. It includes tasks such as dimensional and geometrical constraints, sketch-based modeling, assembly creation, and generating 2D drawings and Bill of Materials. Students are required to compile their work into a PDF format and submit it via email after faculty review.

SMD Practical

1) a) Dimensional Constrain and Geometrical Constraints

b) Simple sketching of any 5 objects by using the above-mentioned commands

2) a) Sketch-based modeling (by using commands like extrude, revolve, sweep, loft
etc.) Parametric modeling, Material and Mass property calculations
b) Creating any 2 simple machine parts by using 3D modeling software and
calculation of mass properties by applying suitable material.

3) a) Inserting components into an assembly, mates and constraints, Assembly motion

and interference checking
b) Creating two assembly of model consisting of minimum 5 parts?

4) a) Exploded views, Bill of Materials (BOM), GD&T symbols,

b) Dimensioning Generation of 2D working drawings (minimum 2 views) of parts
and assembly created in experiment 3 above

5) a) Features of surface modeling

b) Generation of 3D model by using surface parameters (Such as product casing
design, automotive body panel design etc.)

For a part of every practical collect hand-on content in word format and refine it with
google or AI tools and Submit in PDF format.

For b part of every practical. save drawing with your roll no in PDF format on screen after
checking by faculty.

Collectively for all 5 Experiments create PDF and send it to given email id.
